Robert Miles: Children. He did release an album, but Children was his only major hit.

I think i agree with you here and could think Robert Miles as a one hit wonder. 'Fable', 'Red Zone' and 'One & One' (featured only on the reissue of the album) which also got single releases off 'Dreamland', weren't nearly as big as 'Children' and weren't such big hits anymore. Sadly his other albums didn't help him to get back to the top chart positions. '23am' which was a bit different from 'Dreamland', was much deeper and had a more ambient feel with some mellow breaks and dream house tunes and something else. He didn't do it with 'Organik' & 'Organik Remixes' either which were even more different from the predecessors; experimental, ethnic stuff with influences from trip hop, ambient and other downtempo material.

He just did some right music at the right time and after the fuss has faded out, he decided to head towards to a different style of music.

Why would i be kidding about it? Everyone knows Dreamland got sold alot because Children was on it, not because of the overall goodness of the album or something like that. I still didn't say the album was bad but the singles and the whole album just weren't anywhere close as big hits as Children.

Posted by DJ Cinos on Aug-06-2005 08:22:

There was also Fable, so he wasn't a one-hit wonder.

That wasn't a hit really compared to Children so i'm still on the side of a one hit wonder. No one ever talks about the other tracks either, it's always "Children this Children that". Children was and and still is his only massive hit.

No, because a new (and really rather good) Motorcycle song, Around You is coming in the near future, and I think it has even greater crossover potential than As The Rush Comes did.

BUT, I know what you're trying to get at - just because one alias only has one hit doesn't mean that the people behind it are one trick ponies.

BBE (Bruno Sanchioni, Bruno Quartier, Emmanuel Top); Bruno Sanchioni together with Giuseppe Cherchia are behind even a bigger hit.. Age Of Love - The Age Of Love, so i guess Sanchioni is more like a 2-3 hits wonder as Flash was quite a hit too. And Emmanuel Top's Turkish Bazar and Acid Phase are both classics of their time.

I believe BBE is 3 different artists, but still along the same lines, yes, I guess it technically still is a one hit wonder

It's like the same thing with Robert Miles' Fable and BBE's Flash.. both are followups to massively huge hits but didn't quite make it to be anything like their predecessors.. some count them as hits, some don't. I'm not sure if i would. Tricky question.

yes, its tough to follow up Seven Days & One Week, but i think they did a pretty good job of it
because they could have just rinsed the formula, which they didnt really do.....i think it was a hit in the clubs, but it was just in the shadows of Seven Days, which did pierce the charts highly

tough one to call

Timegate is not the only track Marc Vision produced. He is a talented progtranceproducer, and recently released an album under Vision & Canedy. But Timegate got his name up just cuz Tiesto played it.

andy ling - fixation

same here. Fixation is not the only track he did. He also remixed alot.

very wrong. they released numerous popular tunes after that one. the biggest one being Flash.

Wrong. 7 Days And One Week was indeed their most popular tune.
