I guess i have to say something, considering the time i have devoted to collecting the man's work.

OAKENFOLD

Tiesto would not be here, if it were not for Oakenfold.

Oakenfold at Space, Ibiza, 99, enough said.

well guys, I saw them both live, Oakenfold I saw twice, once in Roseland Ballroom NYC, he was there with Sandra Collins and Max Graham. He was not that good and was overshadowed by Max, hands down. Max was so good I got my Britain Flag signed by him, and I am russian.. lol.. Gotta love the brits. But then I saw him this March in Cancun, let me tell you, that was the best set I heard ever in my life live, I could not stop jumping and going crazy, and I was not on drugs, just beer.. lol.. But Tiesto is the best in my eyes right now, with stuff he spins, Oakys albums are week and songs he picks suck, but I have not heard any of his new live sets accept what I heard in Mexico. Tiesto live is also great, I saw him once. I love his mixes from 2003 on, I had a chance to download some of his sets and I love them.. I am having problems downloading these days, I know of only WinMX to download, PM me with other sites where I can get sets to download, please. Also when Digweed used to come to our best and legendary club Twilo in nYC, that was something else, I never saw people go that crazy, I happened to hear him last time before they shut down down the club when he promoted GU: LA.. it was crazy.. thanks guys.. I have been a fan of this music for years, just joined this site, I love it!!!

BTW - Max Graham is CANADIAN!!!!!

Paul Oakenfold

Posted by BChandler on Aug-19-2005 17:51:

This is exactly what Im talking about. 70% of the people on this board are here because of Oakenfold, yet I read and read and read of how crappy he is now. He still makes people go ape shit like he did back in the 1993-2000 days.

Paul Oakenfold.

After hearing the creamfields 99 EM I got addicted to EDM.

Posted by ilya49 on Aug-19-2005 17:58:

nothing can compare to the ready steady go(thats my favorite), but tiesto is just being advertised more and people talk more about him, he also does a lot of gigs. There are better djs then tiesto, but nobody talks about them, they only talk about tiesto cuz a lot of people have an idea who he is. but tiesto is also great. I haven't heard old oakenfold's mixes, but i can take your word, that they are good. tiesto is good with songs, but oakenfold with live mixes. Since I also listen to some rap, i gota love get em up with ice cube. Finnaly somebody was able to mix trance with hip hop, i gota give him props for that

but yeah i agree oakenfold...

Posted by Denser on Aug-19-2005 19:58:

Oakenfold!!!!!!@@!@#!!!

Fuck Ties0r - he cant even compete with Dave202 in a mixing contest his actual place in Djmag should be 76 or something.

Producing is a whole diffrent story though, they are pretty the same and Tiesto even gets a +0.000000532 from me.
