Ive got a quick question that's a little off-topic. Does anyone know what the future for Nation is going to be? I ask because I know there is construction and zoning codes going into effect for the new baseball stadium.

Does anyone know if Nation is going to be moved or relocated anywhere or is it staying at Half St?

whats up. Its too early to tell since any change will happen around 2008.

^^^ I still can't believe I didn't see you there anywhere (u do kinda stand out )... and then you cancel on me for NY
haha j/k
it's all good hon - I wouldn't have gotten into Summerstage if it wasn't for your phonecall - I will forever be in debt to you for that...

This is probably my worst review EVER. I drank a little too much, actually alot too much at the open bar from 9 til 10, and do not remember the entire night ( Wow, after a 2 month break from clubbing ). Of what I do remember was that the music was awesome from the time Empath took the decks until the time PVD finished.
The vibe and all the people I know, and alot of people I just met were awesome too. I probably won't be clubbing again for a while, but I can't wait for the next time I go back to Cubik, hopefully on a psytrance night.
I am not going to list who I seen and partied with there because there were alot of people there, from people I knew back at Zei Club to people I just met that night ( I'm bad remembering names when crunked ), and several people, especially from this forum that I didn't get to talk to as much as I wanted to ( may'be I did, and forgot ), or wanted to meet
and forgot to.

I would like to thank Buzzlife for pulling off such an awesome event.
The night couldn't have been better, yeah, actually I wish I was a lot more sober, so I remember all the music. I actually remember the afterparty alot better.

Friday was really nice, for the first time in a while I was impressed with Paul's set and the club was great too. I was completely suprised by the lack of customer raping that I commonly find in the USA. This club appeared to be for the clubbers, for a change?

The crowd was nice too, with the lack of meatheads being great. Wasn't too packed either

That's Nation for ya...it might be a grimey dirty club in a crappy area BUT the vibe you find there is unreal...very laid back

Glad u enjoyed it.

the set was great, and yes i was sober(halfway...with those long islands)...the place was packed but you still had enough room to dance...and it was cool that they played it in all rooms...the cryogenics were fucken awesome...what a life saver...we were all so hot....and that cold air rush just made everyone smile and dance harder and get so happy...nation needs to do that for every big dj...as well as fur...and every club in america...i bet theres to many regulations or ..its too expensive...

Posted by empath on Aug-23-2005 20:13:

it's suprisingly expensive.

Nothing could have prepared me for the awesomeness that was PvD's set @ Nation! I figured PvD would play a better set than when I last saw him @ GLOW...and he didn't disappoint! I rushed to the main room soon after I made it to Nation, a little after PvD took the decks. The front of the DJ booth was jampacked, but I could get a glimpse of PvD. I don't recall seeing PvD in such a great mood, out of all the times I've seen him in DC! Out of the three times I'd seen PvD in DC...this was hands down my favorite set! This was exactly how a trance set should be! PvD's sound was uplifting and quite relentless! The last two hours of PvD's set were absolutely bangin'...especially when he started going for the tech-trance sound! I only wish that PvD's set would've been more than 4 hours...but I'm so glad I had the chance to see him @ Nation!

Among the songs that made my night...
Paul Van Dyk - Time of our Lives
Randy Katana - In Silence (Txitxarro Mix). My jaw dropped when I heard this one!
Mojado - Senorita...OMG!
Marco V - More Than a Life Away...nice!
Paul van Dyk - Nothing But You. Still to this day...a lovely track!
U2 - Where The Streets Have No Names (NU NRG rmx). As soon as I heard this one, I ran back into the main room and stood transfixed!
Paul Van Dyk - For An Angel. This was my first favorite track from PvD...and hearing PvD drop it just blew me away!

My favorite moment of the night quite frankly was...hearing NU NRG's remix of U2's classic track followed by For An Angel! Looking toward the DJ booth, I could see the explosion of lights still coming through the cryogenic fog. For me, this moment is unforgettable!

What else did I love about the night? Getting to hear PvD's set throughout the club! Even when I went over to the front room bar for my Red Bull/Stoli Ohranj session, I could still appreciate every moment of PvD's set! It was also great catching up with quite a few friends throughout the night! The vibe was excellent! There was no pretense or drama. As much as I've enjoyed previous Buzzlife events...this was the best ever!

And one more thing...shoutouts to...Shamen DJs (great catching up at last!), DJ Flight, Cristian and Claudio, Greedy, Destynee, Jose, Koon, Empath, Jonathan and Amanda, 3bbi3, Tamtui, Russ, Skytrancegirl (can't believe I didn't see you!), Josy (wish I'd seen you!)...sorry if I forgot anyone!

PvD rocks!!!!!

PVD definately rocks. Great seeing you too. Probably take another month off clubbing, can't wait for Armin.
