You dont... need to... emerge... from nothing...

Chemical Brothers - Galvanize

Just in case you have never heard it. Definitely a great start to the night. I did like the New Order remix

Posted by PvDoBseSSioN on Aug-21-2005 05:37:

well i had a great time as usual, i was right up front the whole time thanks to DanAX.... it wasn't crowded up front and people weren't pushing which was good (except for this one drunk bitch which i had to push out of the way )

PvD played some good tunes and it was a surprise to see Natascha van Dyk there! i dunno if u guys saw her on the stage but she was there the whole night, and she was pole dancing for a couple seconds while beautiful things was playing!! BTW, what was that track that goes .......state of mind...... i dunt remember the rest but it was played rather early and it was really good

track of the night for me was
Freefall - Skydive
it was just unbelievable to hear that again for the 5th time this month

BTW, i saw him play the other side live @ cafe mambo and it was 100000x better than this garbage tonite. firstaval the words were totally wrong, it was out of tune, he missed half the fucking song, and it seemed like he was fucked up and could not speak at all, i found it pure crap compared to last week im sorry

i saw a whole bunch of TA's which was nice to my nice surprise, when i left i saw the flyer for ultra to see that MYLO is also gonna be there and that ARMIN IS 18+ !!!!

i got alot of good pics on the way soon

Wow. That was amazing! My first live PvD performance.. just wow. Unfortunately I completely missed the TA meetup, next time I guess. But wow, what a great night What was the deal with that last track? Was that made for this performance?

well it is his new single The Other Side and i guess he wanted to play it live with Wayne Jackson....

i think he should have played the original version in his set and had a better encore

Posted by EnigmaT on Aug-21-2005 05:53:

He played these two in the first 30 min of his set.

Second Sun - Playground
Giuseppe Ottaviani - Linking People

2 of my favorite tracks at the moment

yeah. at first i didn't know wtf was going on. i thought pvd was singing lol.

Posted by Hassassin on Aug-21-2005 08:14:

i guess that it was a last minute decision to have him to the vocals & guitar strings for that track. It wasnt the singer's fault he sounded bad. if they had done a sound check in the beginning, and planned it out, it would have actually sounded GREAT. but thats a risk of playing last minute i guess...

oh and by the way HOLY SHIT WHAT A FUCKING AMAZING NIGHT!!

def. not as good as last year, but still a good crowd/good vibe, though the track selection was pretty mediocre. paul trotted out wayne jackson for a live PA of the other side as an encore which was nice.

random tunes:
Timo Maas - Pictures (Paul van Dyk Rework)
Josh Wink - Higher State
Paul van Dyk - For An Angel (Marc van Linden Remix)
Paul Van Dyk feat Hemstock & Jennings - Nothing But You (PvD Club Mix)
Perasma - Swing 2 Harmony (Deserves An Effort Symphony Dub)
Marcel Woods - Advanced (No-Tech No-Trance Mix)
U2 - Where The Streets Have No Name (NU-NRG Remix)
Lolo - Why? (Nick Pilon Mix)
Sander van Doorn - Dark Roast (Original Mix)
Andain - Beautiful Things (Markus Schulz Shadows Of Coldharbour Mix)
New Order - Blue Monday (? remix)
Markus Schulz ft. Departure - Without You Near (Original mix)
Jose Zamora & Damian DP - Transatlantic (Andy Moor Remix)

Posted by vakman on Aug-21-2005 10:41:

yea, def better last year...just wasn't a very good set i think...anyway, i have the world's worst bootleg...does someone want to make a complete tracklist out of it? PM me. It sounds like absolute shit. It's an 8khz wav file. Don't ask me for it unless you plan to post a playlist, bc seriously it sounds like shit. It's horribly bass-heavy, obviously. It's good for making a tracklist and nothing else.

I KNEW It.

Many ppl in this form told me not to be a nagative but yeah SOLD OUT.!

I was really lucky.i was inside

Posted by trancintaiwan on Aug-21-2005 11:59:

i was so happy he played

jose zamora & damien dp - transatlantic (andy moor remix)

yellow blackbird - superfly (andy moor remix)

i think i also heard jose amnesia vs. serp - second day (martin roth remix)

mojado - fuerte

smith & pledger - northern lights

Posted by trancaholic on Aug-21-2005 13:35:

I thought the set was uninspired at best and that the organisation was crap (having to wait one hour of a four hour set in line to the bathroom is beyond lousy).
It was really nice to see some of the TAs one last time, though, and I liked the vibe of the crowd. However, I'm quite surprised that this is *the* outdoor event for NYTAs, but maybe I'm comparing with the wrong things.

I had alot of fun. I actually wished it rained cause it was so damn hot.

I have alot of pics..like 400+

Posted by MiracleTK on Aug-21-2005 15:59:

I had a great time.. although it was hot and humid...

The music could have been better...but overall it was great..

It was just an all around good time.

The crowd was awesome..

;-)

Still recovering from an awesome and long night.... (my friends and I did plenty of other things both before and after PVD). I would have liked to make it to the park to meet up with some of you but I'm sure we'll get the chance to do that sometime soon (Ultra, M.I.K.E. / Perry, Armin, Ferry or Carl Cox). Overall, I had a great time - agreed that it didn't match last year in terms of intensity or memorableness, but my friends and I all agreed that nothing could really ever top that - unless of course it rained again with the sellout crowd. The live PA with Wayne Jackson was a sweet ending, just wish that PVD didn't have to jet off to Space so soon... Glad to see many of you had an awesome time as well.
