what a night!

Edgar started out with one of the best openings sets i have heard from him. My appreciation for him grows more and more every time i see him. He played some really great tracks. There is this one track that i'm dying to know the name of... it goes "I say dont get too close, Protect yourself tonight..." what is this song?!! i love it. the video i took of this is absolutely insane. unfortunuately i dont have glowgirls.org anymore so i can host my vids anyway, that was definitely one of my favorite edgar sets. his closing set was equally good if not better. the floor cleared out pretty quick after pvd left, which left us more room to dance, and he brought out some really nice melodic tracks.

pvd... what to say... he's always going to be my favorite. i havent seen him in months so i was really anticipating this, and he did not disappoint. i didnt like how he was playing so techy the last few times i saw him, and i expected his set to be along those lines. i was really happy with the style he played last night. some REALLY great tracks. and i'm glad he ended with The Other Side... i really wanted to hear that.

it was great seeing all the TAs again. danny and i were going to stay for max's set but we were kinda tired and wanted to go out to breakfast and then pass out. so we went to the ghetto iHop and then home, but we passed by the terrace for a few seconds and max was playing Say Hello. it looked like a good time but it was WAY too hot out there, lol.

a few pics..

and my fave... pvd having an out-of-body experience, lol

me and half of danny

well, what can i say fuckin awesome night indeed at le space...edgar was definitely great opening, as aformentioned he did indeed play some great tracks...in addition to the ones listed before there is one missng which to me was his track of the night...

Keo - Close Enough (Noel Sanger Remix)--holy shit, i cant believe he played this, its bassline and crazy noises destroyed space all over,i remember gettin insanely chaotic and telling everyone whagt track this was...so thank you edgar because that is a hot up and comer...all yous need to score this one

as for pvd...now i m not gonna lie i didnt really go with the full intentions of loving pvd, i thought i would enjoy it, and i really wanted to hear max graham...well fuck me sideways...paul was insane, i had one of the best times ive ever had at space getting lost in the pvd madness...i must say i was impressed tenfold and have a new gained respecet for pvd now...it was really that good imo...i couldnt stop moving the whole time he was on...right when max came on like 430-5 i went to le terrace and was like fuck i gotta get back inside cause i aint missing that shit!!(this was during the last half hour of pvd and i hadnt heard pictures or the other side and i knew he was gonna play them)...so there i was until he finished around 6 jumping and screaming my ass off to that shit...good christ, when he played timo maas-piktars...i was done what a fuckin track to hear at space..and paul was completely into the set and the tracks, ive never seen him so animated up there which to me is one the most important things when the dj doesent look like he hates what hes doing and provides that incredible synergy with the crowd...it was there last night and he was definitely on...the only track i can remember that no one seemed to mention paul playing was ernesto and bastion-dark side of the moon, which focking rocked !!

on to max graham...well this guy is pure genoius as well..why else would sander be signin all his new productions to little mountain?? cause hes that good and he was perfrect on the terrace...in the beggining he was playing more electro laced tracks which were good but i was waiting for his melodic prog goodness and in his last hour that is what we got from 7-815 when he was finished, the terrace was great he was sooo into the crowd and was acknowleding the folk up front who were into and knew the tracks he was playing..as for ids i dont remember many but the last two cause they were what i had been waiting for...he played hos own rework of with or without you, and of course he closed his set with the simply brilliant--max graham feat jessica riddle-gone!!!!! that was it i knew my nigth had started great with edgar gone insane thorugh paul and then waned down to max with the conclusive trakc of the nigth being gone...simply put this was one of the nest nights of music at space from opener to headliner to closer..they were all awesome...reiterating the simple and plain fact that...THERE'S STILL NO PLACE LIKE SPACE!!!!!!!

i'm glad all of you guys had a blast...i'll have to come in a couple of years and roll my ass off with u!

Allright.. Im finally able to write an official review. First off, the line outside was just huge.. crazy crazy.

Onto the music which is the most important. Before that, I loved the new look of Space, pretty good, cant wait for the upcoming events there.

EDGARV rocked the place!!.. I come in and Im just there dancing wow, awesome!! I must include him onto my top 5 after that night, I had forgotten how great of a DJ he is maan. The OPEN UP YOUR EYES track, CLASSIC!!!!!! I felt like crying after I heard that!! so happy to hear it wow... among other awesome tracks that just killed me.

Onto Paul van Dyk. Ive said how great of DJ he is outdoors, and I tend to prefer him there, since he never really impressed me with he's sets @ space the times Ive seen him, lots of repeated tracks and such.... well, after Aug.20-2005 he's forced me to look at him differently. He's set was banging!!! I loved the beginning with that Chemical Brothers track!! the opener woww!!!.. and all the Techno tracks that were pure insanity!.. thats the kind of Stuff I love to hear when Paul plays.. the banging techno with the emotional melodies. I had such an awesome non-stop dancing time!... Right after PvD was done, I headed over to see Max Graham and wow.. I always digged he's stuff ever since I heard he's transport CD.. I love he's progressive sound, so I heard what I expected from him.. Loved every minute of it, great House and progressive sounds. The Say Hello track and Mr. Brightside like always part of the dish... among other great tracks. After all the dancing at paul my legs were just dead, so at around 8 we left.. into the scorching morning heat ( man it was hot when we got out ).

Overall.. this has been booked as one of my best clubbing nights, with just absolutly great music all over the place.. I just felt that I needed more Paul van Dyk.. 3 hrs werent enough for my thirst of what he was playing last night.. besides that, been with all of you guys is what makes this partying great as always.. loved seen everyone there!

Until next one :-)

And now I need MORE PVD. MORE!

Pics in 2nd post re-sized. How my camera's settings were changed, I have no idea.

I have to admit, I was really worried about him pulling a Thanksgiving on us...on me especially, since he IS my #1 fav. DJ.

The moment he came out, I was all smiles (and sober, too!) No other DJ makes me grin to the point where I'm smiling so much, it hurts. Only PVD has done that, time and time again. I was hoping for a set similar to what he's played this year in the past few months, and did he ever. I was really happy after last night. He was so emotionallly charged behind the decks, so into it, and all after flying in from NY Summerstage.

DA MAN. Plain and simple. And why he's always been my fav. since I got into this scene 6 years ago.

Last night was simply amazing... Edgar and Paul both brought so much energy to the main room. The crowd was full of energy the whole night and into the morning.
The line was ridiculously long outside when we got there... but I totally forgot about it until I read about it. It was just that awesome last night. Edgar dropped some awesome tracks but I really enjoyed when he played Lucas & Beltram - Trust Me (i think the ava mea remix), followed by Rachael Starr - Till There Was You.
As for PVD... well.. he blew me away... this night may have been his best yet that I've witnessed. Track after track the energy was flowing and his interaction with the crowd I think really kept everyone going. I needed more PVD!!!
After PVD a lot of us went up to check out Max for a bit but it was just too damn hot/humid. Max seemed to be playing some real nice tracks though. We ended up heading back down to check out a bit more Edgar before calling it a night hearing Summerdream again was awesome.

Cant wait to do it all again for Armin! too bad it's still a while from now.

I know how you feel, Damon. My back was killing me all night and I had to bail early when some bad pancakes from the nearby Denny's started f-ing with me. I'm never eating there again...

I don't know if you guys know, but he played at Central Park that same night and flew in to play at Space. That is some real shit.

I wish you would have told us that you weren't feeling well. It's a good thing that happened the way that it did because you're still around to share it with us. Next time you are feeling like shit please let someone know.

I will thanx, I think it was better for me to leave instead of collasping at space, but at the same time, it might of been better instead of hurting myself on the road

Holy shit Damon.
Glad your ok though.

I would much rather have you collapse at Space than for you to pass out at the wheel while driving. You would have had a ton of friends at Space that would have immediately come to your assistance. Passing out while driving...well...
