the matches in CONCACAF are valued the least thus not giving the US a lot points for easy wins. the weight placed upon games in Europe is a lot higher and even if a european team loses they still get a fair amount of points.

is the US the fifth best team in the world? most likely no. but according to the formula that FIFA uses they are. i think things will change from now until the seedings for the world cup come out since there are still a fair amount of qualifying matches to be played. so i wouldnt get my undies in a bunch over a ranking that will probably change before it actually means anything.

Not in a million years. I don't like them. The US of A just doesn't care about the sport, well, this is according to the new nike commercial. See here
