have you used ableton?

yes, i've tried to sequence some non-live sets on it (but i'm a bit of a n00b at it, and completely lack the patience to sit and work on music)

I think a person must prove his mastery of the tuntable before he can switch to a computer. Sasha is far more musically gifted than Tiesto, and that is neither a bash nor an insult the "number1". It is very evident in the way Sasha mixes that he understands and applies musical theory and can or at least shows he can do more than match a beat, phrase and turn a knob. Sasha uses Ableton in this regard and since Tiesto very rarely ever shows off on the Turntables anymore I doubt he would use Ableton to do anything more than mix with the occsion trick. On that note however, there is more to being a DJ than musical theory and all that bullshit and Tiesto can win his crowd like almost no one else which is a very fundemental aspect of DJing, so perhaps he doesn't need ableton, since it seems, he himself and not what he does is his fans' primary entertainment.

Good gawd someone has too much time on their hands...

Why not go make a song or a mix instead of doing something non-productive

Muzik shouldnt divide people for goodness sake

If Tiesto mixing skills will become better, I agree he using appleton...
His mixing gone downhill since he got so famous in olympic games..

posting ontopic negative remarks/moderate bashing is one thing. doing it excessively & creating express-purpose threads about it all the time, regardless of how bad the subject is... pretty low.

Oh dear, you're a member of the "Gabriel & Dresden Alliance"? That certainly explains a lot.
