Nick, his friend from the US called him, to get tickets for Innercity

i think im the only one in the world than thinks Systematic Parts - Deja Vu is one of the greatest tracks ever made..

w00t, thanks for reminding me of this set. Haven't listened to it in a year or so. I more and more believe this is the very epitome of uplifting trance and to date I haven't found a set that could match it. It even beats all of Oakey's 99 EM's by a mile.

See thats just one thing. I think the reason I love this video is because it shows Tiesto when he was a regular DJ who gets his big break at Innercity. You see him preparing for what was probably the biggest night of his life and when he does actually get up there he isin't the Tiesto of today doing the jesus pose, turning the bass back up at the end of a build like its the hardest knob he has ever had to turn. He's so cool, calm, and collective just up there enjoying mixing for a crowd of thousands, picking the perfect tracks, even lights one up while he's mixing into Endless Wave. Even his set up is just 2 Technics tables and a mixer, nothing fancy. It's the Tiesto I wish I could have seen live.

Thanks! Is this the full version, it seems rather short only being 49mb.

Posted by JFernie on Aug-26-2005 00:56:

great video, although his mixing is terrible , but yea tunes rock especially straydog , funny at the end when he puts the gum in his mouth and he shows the cam in case they think it was drugs lol

Posted by FuzzyChicken on Aug-26-2005 00:59:

I dunno if its the full version or what. I grabbed this off TA maybe a year ago or so. If someone else has a different version thats better quality or longer, that would be great.

The mixing is only terrible in this video because it isin't the full set as he mixed it, the video is edited and alot of songs were cut out.

Thanks FuzzyChicken!

^^, no he didnt beatmatch properly. it happened in the first and 2nd transition. listen to it, its not edited. but this was like in 99 just when he was starting out. he might have been really scared having thousands of people in front of him.

Yeah I heard the beats fall off when he mixed Endless Wave. I'm sure someone will clear this up, all I know is that one of them either the set from the CD or the set during the video is the real thing. One was edited.

Thats what I was starting to think. The last song in the video isin't even on the CD. I wish I could hear the whole un-altered set.
