I believe that's why sam is after him. As a man who's been able to control men others haven't, and motivate them, there is definitely huge potential in nicolas, he's still only 26/27 and has the predatory touch which davies doesn't. Borgetti had it, but never had the pace to go with it, it's not just a case in the EPL of scoring, but overall play & i think he failed there, sad cos I rate him as a finisher

taken from the BBC boards (couldn't resist) :

-"I think under Big Sam's guidance Anelka will finally serve his full contract and become a full-time French International again who will oust Henry out of the starting team.

ok I can't keep a straight face anymore. I am surprised any premiership team is even willing to touch Anelka. Talented player ,yes ,but what a waste of talent due to mercenary attitude."

-he is a bit young to play for bolton isn`t he? i thought you had to be in your 30`s at least

-With Anelka joining Diouf at The Reebok, Bolton are striving to become the most unpopular club in the country!

Posted by scAza on Aug-21-2006 15:55:

Anelka did well for us when we had him on loan years ago - if only we'd have signed him for about 7m instead of double that for BASTARDFUCKING**** Cisse... Nice one Hou'

Posted by fastmp3 on Aug-21-2006 16:00:

ciss is the most overrated piece of shit to ever grace a football pitch ... anyway this is not the liverpool thread

Don't worry, they'll win us all over with their beautiful one-touch football

Bolton are a strong team IMO. Big Sam is a wise manager as far as I'm concerned.

Their tactics of twatting the ball up field having some big blokes up front who are good in the air work, it's lower division football but it works you have to give it to them.

Taha Bolton are a lot better then Casablanca Fc or whatever the fuck you call them Hell Norwich are even better then them, mind you Safri is quite a handy playe

does norwich still play brazillian samba music after they score a goal?

for sure but given our budget and infrastructure we are not that bad, at least we have a school and produce local talent

Posted by raveed on Aug-31-2006 20:05:

i hear bolton are so poor that they are considering moving to american football because they want to get a quarter back

Posted by scAza on Sep-01-2006 11:56:

There's only one American team in our league mate, and I think you know who it is

fiorentina had luca toni whois a class striker but bolton never had a quality striker so its even more commendable .. if sammy can tame 'le sulk' , bolton have a good chance of making atleast the uefa cup

The Brazil of East Anglia haha. I haven't been up there to watch a game since last season and they didn't play that horrid Samba track! It was a bit on the tacky side I Think they played Kaiser Chiefs - I predict a riot (How orginal) now.

Whats Big Sams brazilian name?

BUNGA

[/sad joke]

So he and his son are the first victims of BBCs probe. Wonder who else is going to be indicted.

it's pretty much bullshit about sam. His son is a bit of a dick, but many managers sons are, they feel important when they're not.

I think so to. Sam doesnt seem like a crooked guy. Good to see him make a strong retaliation against the allegations and I hope he clears his name.

Sad that his legal fees are going to be coming out of the players salaries though

Posted by Michael19 on Sep-20-2006 21:21:

didnt see the show. Heard it was shit though. Claiming they would blow the lid off english football etc etc. eh..yea

What was the harry redknapp thing about? He was seen on video saying he thought Andy todd was a hard bastard and would like him at his club? Is it now seen as tapping up a player when you compliment him? That seemed really irrelavent.

Harry does look the sort of manager who has his fingers in plenty of dodgy pies though.
