Danny props to u and ur opener.....great tracks, specially the fact that Carl continued playing your last track all the way through and mixed it along with his set....u set the tone and really got the crowd going for the main act. KEEP IT UP

man oh man did carl cox live up to every bit of my expectations.
unfortunately i missed danny's set didnt even know he was opening. havent heard danny spin in months

carl cox started off with easier techno, some house elements, just to warm the crowd up to his massive techno beats towards middle of the set. as vladi would say, 'the tunes were pounding!'

as far as tracklist goes, i am clueless. there were a few tunes that stood out for me. one was this techno track with some electro in it and had these cool vocals that said 'do you think im some kind of a freak' it was a really nice tune. then there was a pretty dope techie remix of deep dish - hello and a really cool mash up. i think it was alter ego - rocker with a madison avenue song, not dont call me baby, they had another one out that was pretty big. it sounded pretty dope.

the crowd of course was rowdy, as always hehe. the decor was really nice tho. in fact, im always impressed with cargo shows. they always look great

thanks timur!
there are so many of those remixes out there, hard to keep track of all of them

This dude was headbanging wayyyyyyyy..... before Carl even got on stage!!!!
I would still dance next to him instead of the polite Gent ( lots of them up front actually ) that was throwing beer bottles in the air... and ripping the decor off the stage, list goes on...

I went to both Armin and Coxy and I can honestly say that Coxy sh!tkicked AVB's ass!!! Carl Cox is without a doubt the best entertainer I've ever seen because he is so interactive with his crowd and always has a smile to boot. I also got him to sign two 8 x 10 photos. BTW he kept going on the microphone at Victoria's show and he said he was "pleasantly surprised". He must have really enjoyed his time here cuz he posted not Seattle, not Portland, Vancouver, but VICTORIA PICTURES on his website http://www.carlcox.com

KarateKid

Carl Cox is the man, seems like a super nice guy too. I still can't believe I got to open for him! I was blown away by his set... easily the best I've ever seen at Plush, especially the first hour and a half! I'll definitely go see him every chance I get, which more than I can say for the other over-hyped DJs who frequent Vancouver

BRING HIM BACK ASAP!!!

i completely agree with you on that! i went in not knowing what to expect. there is all this hype around carl cox and his shows. a lot of people compare him to donald glaude. i saw glaude over the summer and he kicked ass too. there are not many DJs out there who can drop great tunes, play flawless sets and genuinly interact with the crowd, thats real entertainer talent. carl cox is the above and beyond of techno for me. still waiting to see what richie hawtin will bring to the table tho

Posted by dj_ka-wai on Oct-05-2005 00:01:

I would definitely go see Ritchie Hawtin, but it would be another $200+ trip to head over to Vancouver I'm already spending a lot of money for the Canucks home opener tomorrow!!

why did i chose to catch up on my sleep instead of going to this?
