I'm a member on another quite popular forum (completely non EDM related) in the past loads of them have helped people rig online polls. So shall i get them to all vote DJ Mikey Mike in this poll?

Also in the poll can you leave blank spaces? i.e. just vote DJ Mikey Mike in 1st place then leave the other votes blank?

Yep thats accepted - i did it for Tiesto in 2001 and 2002 *red face*

Fucking hell. I don't even know where to begin with that drivel, there is just too many points to pick apart. I can't believe how many threads, and posts there have been regarding this whole thing, and you somehow still amazingly manage to miss the point on this many levels. it's people like you who give credits to djs who cant even mix who doesnt deserves it. you and the rest of the pest of your kind are like teenage girls screaming infront of Backstreet Boys. You bild up an imagination of your superstar djs making them gods and anyone who tries to say anything negative about them are douche bags in your eyes.
If you like worshipping your gods then fine do it. But if you want them to be respectable djs then don't vote for them for christ sake. it will make them even more invunerable. You might end having Tiesto playing homemade mixes and making the Jesus christ pose just because he can. And people will still go there and dance their assess of.

The only point you'll be proving is that public polls can be rigged by large organised groups - and I don't think anyone's debating that anyways. If you wanted to prove that any unknown bedroom DJ could get into the top 100, then mickey would have to get there by himself for your point to be valid.

I have two emails so I voted twice. One for my actual list and the other for the TA peeps. More than likely what is happening is that there are people sitting around forums like this organizing people together to create new hotmail/yahoo accounts so that they can vote for their DJ that the site is about like www.tiestoroxmesoxs.com or www.arminvanbowdowntome.com

I could care less if people vote for "popular DJs" but I hate the format because it is possible to cheat. People dont put much stock in popular vote contests when it comes to popular music, movies, and television. Thus people shouldn't with DJ popularity contests. Until there is a group of informed individuals that know things about the industry or the DJs themselves vote for a list then I could care less about this list.

See you make bold statements, did i ever say Tiesto is God, I have never said that. I respect Tiesto and I love his work and what he has done for the trance scene. Your calling me an idiot because i like a certain style in music, you an idiot my friend, all you do is cristize this and that just because you dont like something. the thing thats funny is the point you are trying to prove is so fucking blindingly obvious... your going "the more people who vote for him the higher he will get in the dj mag poll"... well done genius's thats the whole god damn point. I think it's quite funny this whole idea and I think it'll be funny to see where he ends up but to be honest you lot are making such a big deal about it and trying to justify it in every way you can. the whole point is to see who is the most popular dj out there (ie who gets more votes) it doesnt matter who votes for who, unless people are putting guns to peoples heads saying "vote for me", or voting for people like bill gates as a joke, the dj mag poll is an accurate representation of a dj's popularity. this by no means means that the djs with most votes are better, but more people have heard of them, they have had more success or more money spent on promoting the shit out of them.. but so what? why do you all care so much? get over it!

What everyone seems to also miss is the fact that it is a 'best dj' poll, not 'best producer' or 'biggest contributer to the dance music scene' poll

Tiesto's beatmatching and transitions are rather poor, many of the djs ranked below him are better at it and can build sets and stuff.

Zabiela for example, whilst I'm not a fan of the style he plays, I can blatently tell he is a better dj than Tiesto, or most trance dj's for that matter.

But then, fanboys will be fanboys.

I disagree there mikey boy, whats stopping Tiesto amassing hundreds or thousands of email addresses just to spam his own 'popularity'?

The Crazy Frog Axel F song was popular, as such got to the top of the charts.

Does that make it right?
