Das Glockenspiel doesnt have bells, its a Glockenspiel....

Posted by SYSTEM-J on Sep-02-2005 18:13:

I've been holding my tongue about that.

Posted by Snagglepulse on Sep-02-2005 21:57:

The word, "Glockenspiel" is German for "bell play."

Posted by SYSTEM-J on Sep-02-2005 21:58:

Yeah, but a glockenspiel is a row of metal strips that you hit. Not really a bell...

At least it sounds like a bell, and that's what really matters, isn't it?

I would like to find Trance tracks that use Cow sounds. But if you feel like it why not label the Cow sounds as cats as there is absolutely no difference.

j/k

There was a certain mix of that song which had bells in it. I can't remember what mix it was though.

"The glockenspiel's range is limited to the upper register, and usually covers about two and a half to three octaves. In sheet music, the notes to be played by the glockenspiel are written two octaves lower than they will sound when played. When struck, the bars give a very pure, bell-like sound."

I can't believe it's not bells ? can you ?

Exactly the same as "Glockenspiel" in other words. Actually "Glockenspiel" means chiming, so it's no difference.

Big Ben is a fucking massive clock in London. With bells inside. Fucking massive bells. Not pieces of metal nailed to a frame. Hollow bells.

Posted by Aiwendil on Sep-05-2005 04:17:

BIG BIG FUCKING BELLS! VERY BIG BADA BOOM BELLS!
