saw him at creamfields last week and was not expecting much of a performance.....but to my astonishment he actually played a good set in my view, had a good selection of new tunes mixed with the old.

Saw him here and walked out... Fact is he doesn't give a shit about what he does and it shows. He comes in with this rock legend attitude and gives his crowd trash. Wake up call to Oakie- he's not a rock star he's a DJ and not many people give a shit about what he did but what he's doing and he fucking sucks.

Well, I finally said it, the guy who in 99 almost killed me with his Essential Mix in Havana fucking sucks now. What a shame.

I agree and there must be something in the water at liverpool because even Judge Jules' set was good (even though for the first 20mins he just didn't mix at all)

Paul Oakenfold was amazing at globalgathering 2005!

Posted by Blakey on Sep-05-2005 01:16:

He was even better at the Sugar Shack in May.

My thoughts exactly after seeing him in Amnesia this year!

The man used to be (well is) a legend so he has the skills, and he seemed to be trying but the double beats were coming thick and fast!

bah, just saw him last night, he didn't wreck once, he didn't do his im ghey pose once, and he didn't lok coked out. He didn't really play anything good, the crowd didn't get into him until he started playing classic trance towards the end. but I was surprised he mixed...

I wouldnt' have watched him but they put eddie halliwell after him to close. basturds. Eddie definitely stole the show, it was great when eddie first came out and oakie watched him for a few songs.....he was all what is he doing with all them knobs and buttons.

and he is still hairy.
