Fuck that. They make everything about race nowadays. How could ANYONE say that? This is the height of left-wing libertarian stupidity. Like I keep saying.. we're in a society that is so politically correct we're going to give handicapped people 2 votes each.

Eh, the song makes sense to me. Save for the line "Why did bush knock down the towers?" everything else is nothing out of the ordinary. Are you afraid that a rapper made a political statement or something?

he shuldnt be using his time on the air to be critizing Bush abt the iraq war. the broadcast was abt new orleans and getting help to those who need it - regardless of color or race. kanye was not helping the situation at all. who gives a fuck what his opinion is anyway? he's a fuckin loser. i lost respect for him last year after that stunt with the knife in his eye. he then comes out like a few days later for a grammy all teary eyed thankin his fans for their support during this difficult time...

For future reference the publicity whore you refer to with the knife in the eye was about another rapper named "Houston" who tried to commit suicide, not Kanye West. I do agree Myers expression was priceless.

As far as his opinion about Bush, he has all the right to criticize Bush harshly just as anybody else has the right to praise Bush highly.

i dont understand why this whole situation has been turned into a race issue. aid workers were trying to do there job and were attacked. there is anarchy in NO because of lots of looters who happen to be mostly black. what the fuk do u expect the media do other than report it? in my eyes, kanye is a muppet trying to draw attention to himself as usual. i dont think as many people foned in to donate money after his speech - certainly a lot less than if he hada just said what he was supposed to have said.

i guess the plus side of things is he's probably lined his own pockets a little more.

on one hand i support that he spoke out the way he did. i could give a shit about him as a rapper and i can't name 1 song he has done in all honesty.

on the other hand, i have to say that the way he said it, he sounded like a 5th grader (granted he was obviously overwhelmed with emotion it seemed) and even tho i fucking hate bush too, i dont think that was the appropriate time to go off and say something like "bush doesn't care about black people." it just sounds DUMB to be saying something like that on a nationally (internationally??) broadcasted show like that. people, dont make complete fools of yourselves like that on tv. and if you're gonna jack the program you're hosting, plan it out man.

..then again, this wouldn't be getting the attention it would if it weren't so blatantly glib and candid.

affirmative action gives blacks the mind set that they don't have the ability to get into a university or get a job without the demise of far better qualified whites and asians...its obvious that blacks score far worst than other races on the SATs because doing well in school is "acting white" so that is why they're far more likely to go to jail than get an education so they need the government to bend over and spread open their asses in order to give them a "helping hand" to get into colleges and jobs.

Single mothers need all the help they can get, no matter what race, skin color, religion, or whatever. Smoking crack is a decision people make that has nothing to do with race, nor how much welfare they are recieving.

As far as this mindset you are talking about, it may exist, but it has nothing to do with affirmative action and liberal policy. It has to do with the way Parents raise their children. More black people are in jail because they are not brought up with the same strong moral upbringing as white children are. Not because of liberal policy.

I am willing to admit that our Welfare system is not perfect and could use some reform, but to blame this great tragedy on Liberal policies is utterly rediculous.

It should not have taken 3-4 days for aid to get to New Orleans. The aid should have moved in immediately after the storm was passed and it was safe for the National Guard and whomever else to move in. With hunger and thirst comes desperation that most people in America will never understand.
