yeah it was fucked up, i got my BF and i on a Line Bipass only list. and when we got there 11ish, the bouncer at the front said all lists were closed. so we trucked ALLL the way to the other side of the building and waitedin line for two hours >.< but the was a great end to the summer, and a pick up for a weird weekend lol Sat nite Fly was filled with Straight ppl, i've never seen thatbefore.
Even though I wasn't there, after watching the entire thing from my home I feel I'm entitled to write a bit of a review based on what I saw in KH..
Markus Schulz:
A Solid 7/10.
Played way different than what I thought he would. Not saying that's a bad thing at all, but I felt he really lost the crowd with a few of the more drawn-out mixes. That being said, I think he did a superb job in some spots.
Grayarea:
A Solid 7/10.
Maybe it's because you're TRANCEaddicts, maybe it's because you're not all producers or performers, but I was in the ETN chat and people were quite frankly slagging off on a well done Live PA. They're entirely different from what a lot of people are used to, and while I'm not going to defend them I think one has to keep an open mind to the absolute beauty that is Progressive Breaks. For Chrissakes, he was pleading w/ the Crowd 'No more Breaks after this'. Jesus.. They (the crowd) seemed to be enjoying it quite a bit though.
Blank and Jones:
A Respectable 8/10.
I used to HATE Blank and Jones. If it wasn't a mediocre performance, it was them blantantly ripping off other reputable artists in their productions. I had no love for Jaspa or Piet. However, seeing them in action tonight actually impressed me; clever track selection, great timing, solid (albeit lightning quick) beatmatching and a great feel to the set really left me wishing they'd stay on another hour. Christ knows Lowell'd loved that. Throw in some tasty singalongs and a stomper of a classic to top it off and you have a very happy camper.
Armin van Buuren:
An Outstanding 9/10.
Whoo, yeah. Armin got the big points here. Not for any reason other than personal preference. He started off as he typically does, but rather than play the same shit he does on ASOT, he reads the crowd and goes hard. As our good man Dennis Hahn would say 'Jesus Christ, Armin must have been Angry. He went HARD.' That statement summed up his performance at Decadence II and would fit well here. With tracks like 'Damager 02', 'Cherry Blossom' and 'Play it Louder' (FUCK YEAHHH), This man came to leave you all with your ears ringing and your asses sore. Even Anthems like Greece 2000 were played in the Mark Norman form, thus kicking serious ass even further. Epic Trancers should have been pacified with Inertia, Menno de Jong's latest and even an unreleased Robert Nickson track. It would have been the vocal one after 'Children of the Sun'.
I can safely say that the party going on in Kool Haus was one hell of a shindig, and I now wish I had come despite my incredibly poor health. Two days recovery in a hospital would have been WELL worth it.

I just wish he played The Morning After, that would have just killed me, but I'll settle for the recognition. Must sleep ... |
gawd i still have the pulsing bass in my head LOL.
WOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

and
jones.
{edit} I almost fell asleep in the shower.
Was planning on meeting all you TOTA's today (mainly because I brought two complete Trance/rave n00bs with me, and I wanted to show them how you guys party properly - btw, they loved the whole thing
), but I arrived at the TA meetup at like 12:25, and didn't see any familiar faces. I'd say the only two SOLID (meaning ppl that post a lot) TOTAS that I met were Playa24_7, and some Brown guy I've met before, but couldn't remember his TA name - when I see his avatar, I'll remember. Oh, and Niveole, of course, but he doesn't count.
There were others, but I can't remember them. Some of you prolly saw me - really tall, skinny guy, wearing red shirt over white t-shirt and orange shorts, who always had the same 2 girls follow hm around, lol.
The music and full review will come when I get some sleep. I just wanted to throw out some shout-outs.
My head is still bobbing as I'm typing this, fuck.
Holy fawk I need a bed and a shower!!! Amazing closing party of summer '05!!! Great job by the crew to set up an amazing stage design!!! And thank you Blank & Jones one more time for stealing the show (sorry Armin fans)!! And Markus didn't dissappoint either!!

!!!
kool haus had alot of room for the most part, but i didnt leave to any other rooms as i knew they would be super facked, so meh lol
i've need seen guvernment sell out before. when we were in line at 12:40am, they said its sold out and if you dont have a ticket, your not getting in. massive MASSIVE people in there, but even so, most of the time, room to dance in kool haus. guvernment is small, so with all those people, i'd never go in there.
I think its simple to say ..
BLANK AND FUCKING JONESSSSSSSSSS
Followed by ARMIN VAN BUUREN... The MAN!!
unfucking believableeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee ... loved the KH setup .. loved it all ... nothing like partying in the club till 8:40 when you go in before 10 :P hah .. NOW THATS HOW YOU PARTY PEOPLE
Now whos got Livesets / video
going to bed now....
Deep Dish destroyed the guv when closing. The floor was still FULL, when the last track was played. Digweed missed his first mix [first time I've ever heard that], Demi was pretty decent towards the end of his set, unfortunately, Deep Dish were kicking my ass so hard I didn't get a chance to catch him on skybar again.
Good people, good vibes, the club was beyond rammed, and if it weren't for graham's suggestion about the lounge, I would have been hard pressed to put up with it.
And I wanna see RJ's pics. He's got some stellar guv crowd shots.

EVILEST OF NINE ...................
the best room was orange room, no doubt whoever was there (and i saw some tas inside) can tell u that.
evil nine - [perfect name, them mother******s got nasty on our asses. how ??? why ??? cause :
"we dont like it when city people act crooked, when city people crooked and we cant get down"
and it was all about getting down in orange room, oh fuck yeah, it was awesome.

met gamma and penny (nice people), az you mofo always nice seeing ya, sid bro im sorry that i missed ya (i walked around over one hour looking for people), KELLY LOVES BREAKS lol.
im missing somebody
now im gonna eat
FACK!!!!!
I started out the night with 10+ people in my crew - within an hour of that, I was all on my lonesome. Luckily, TOTAs are easy to spot (front and center IN EVERY DANG ROOM!!!) so I was kept in the best company throughout the evening.
More review to come when I regain full possession of my brain. Ugh, that party and the choonage kicked my ass - but def in a good way.
Kris
GREAT PARTY
it was alot of fun, i was so tired but man, when the tunes keep dropping like they did last night jesus how can u not move?
Got to the guv complax around midnight, and it took an hour to get in and thats considering i was on the corner, and not on the other side of the building, could only imagine how long other people waited.
Missed Markus, caught the last 30 seconds if that, people seemd to like the set. Place was rammed to shit, made my way to the guv, and that was a sardine can, man cant believe there were sooo many people, so made my way to the lounge. Digweed was droppin some good tunes, for it not being my style i was liking it.
Then made my way back to the KH to catch Blank & Jones, and they did not disappoint, what a siiiiick set, been waiting forever to catch these gusy and dman i was not disappointed, did not stop dancing for the whole set, only when people kept on walking in front of you and being rude juss pushing you out of the way that was probably my biggest complaint of the night. but anyhoo, loved the set, and the track at 320 ish my lord what a crazzzzzy tune.
Then I made my way to the back where there was a little more room to dance, good call on that one cause when ARMIN came on dman did he lay it down. fack that guy just keeps on impressing me, just track after track, pumpin enegry, and the crowd going nuts too, good vibe there forsure.
left around 720, feet could not take it anymore, long day worked all day on my feet and then being killed by both Blank & Jones and Armin, now i need sleep and a shower.
Party 10/10
Armin 15/10
Blank & Jones 10/10
Vibe 10/10
Crowd 7/10 juss because of what i mentioned above
anyhoo good times
oh yeah, tunesss of the night
