I know what it is, and i agree that there is no such thing as electro trance
I don't like electro at all......
What about Elevator Prog?
if you consider electro and freestyle the same then here it goes:
electro trance:
k5 - passion (kaycee remix)
kaycee - i feel you (original mix)
lange - i believe (breakbeat mix)
dune - electric heaven (kaycee remix)
kaycee - escape (electro mix)
matt darey - electro buzz
ghettoblasta - I O U
you tend to border the euro freestyle line with this [since after all electro and freestyle are like comparing commercial pop trance with underground trance (except that there is more quality freestyle from teh 80s then there is current pop trance)]
lol @ underground Trance
Who are you kidding ?
Please stop with the "It's not electro!!!" fight. It's beyond old and won't ever go anywhere.
its more a dexcription then anything. I dont know why people get all piped up about it. Do we have to say trance with electro elements or electro with trance elements? Or must he say 4/4 beat with trance builds and peaks with buzzing or high pitched synths with a 303 bassline and a 909 hihat and snare, blah blah, blah. its like saying dj sammy is trance rather than pop trance or euro dance. Not many people who like trance like cheesy trance so they disowned it and called it something else
Mode Hookers - Breathe (Sander Van Doorn Mix)
Supermodels from Paris - Keep On
Coburn - We Interupt This Program (Some trance mix, cant think of the name)
Some of Mashtronic's stuff is alright too
I don't care what the proper or correct name for it actually is, if tracks like Time To Burn or Kernkraft 400 were produced today, they'd likely be called 'electro trance'... cos they aren't hard/uplifting/prog/tech or pure trance (does straight up 'trance' trance still exist?)
I LOVE ELECTRO TRANCE (or whatever it's really called)
Pure fun for the dancefloor

| Originally posted by DJ Mikey Mike No it can't, there is no such thing. A lot of what Ferry Corsten plays though could be construed as "shit trance" though. |
Filo & Peri - In Your Face

So how do u guys think about Super8 & P.O.S pres. Aalto '5'?
5s thumping electro bassline and searing trancey lead make it one of the freshest tunes weve heard in ages. according to anjunabeats.com

| Originally posted by Glade776 No. Some would say electro, some would say rap, some would say a combination of rap and electro. Not freestyle. Planet Patrol - Play At Your Own Risk (1982) is freestyle, and it was made by the same people using the same 24 track master. |

| ELECTRO/FREESTYLE just like bambaata. Yes not as dark, underground and loopy as some cybotron stuff but it has the elements just like bambaataa. (which basically used kraftwerk as a template) |
| quote: |
| Your problem is that you have boundaries to your genres when in reality there are no boundaries, everything is hybrid to say the least and it depends what you take out of electro to consider it part of another genre |
| quote: |
so to restate, you'd have to be a moron to not know the conjunction between freestyle and electro. |

| and trance with electro elements or freestyle elements (if i may use that term) does exist |

[quote] then you could also call stevie b electro, as they use the same formula and instruments. Oh wait.. coudl it be that they could both be considered freestyle as well (not to mention that the group is called freestyle) ![]() [quote] Can you tell me what kind of music this is? |

A lot of Electro, especially from the 80's, isn't dark or underground or loopy. A lot of it is lighthearted fun stuff. |
| quote: |
There are boundries. That's why they're different genres. Just because you don't know what the boundries are doesn't mean they're not there. |
| quote: |
The only conjunction would be perhaps the number of freestyle tracks that sample Planet Rock. |

Nope. |
