Posted by mr2gti on Sep-14-2005 17:59:

Koolaide, YOUR UP!!! PEZ aint PM'd me so your in now matey!

Posted by psylo on Sep-14-2005 20:00:

Good idea, ********. That should save a lot of time when downloading/uploading.

Lets wait to see what mr2gti thinks about it. He would have the master log.

would it not be easier just to keep one master log of the mix.

take a sectional of the last outro etc.. and ammend to there. then add the new section to the master log?

For listening sure you can d/l it, I don't see the logic of passing around an entire file to and from when only from seems required, for the full file (if even).

It would make sense that the person mastering (if so) keeps the master log.

Now this sounds a bit of Jibberish to me

and me. I like the original way as I understand how to do that

Posted by Sand Leaper on Sep-14-2005 22:58:

What he means is to just pass along the outro of the previous track and mix from there instead of the whole mix to save time and bandwidth. However, just going with the end of the previous track will sound very disjointed, not to mention that you do not get any sort of vibe and feel from the entire mix itself. Bad idea.

Posted by DJ Andy B on Sep-15-2005 02:31:

Well how about a choice, if the FTP has the room host the full mix and also the complete last song that person mixed with the pitch info.

1) You can get a feel for how the mix is progressing...

2) With the complete last track and pitch info if u want, so its easer to drop your mix back into the set.

Posted by mr2gti on Sep-15-2005 19:56:

Ok, it worked fine for CD1, so we'll keep that route.

But I know what you mean, but there is an issue of not getting a feel of the whole experiance up to your addition.

Posted by PEZ68 on Sep-16-2005 16:07:

hi mr2gti,

Sorry , I had a problem with my provider last sunday and wasn't able to connect me all the week.

I've just read your PM. So if I understand , I have to mix the last track of the CD now?

Sorry again :/

Posted by mr2gti on Sep-16-2005 18:14:

Pez - sorry matey but DLKoolaide has took your place and is uploading later, i'll pop you on the reserve list though Boss.

Posted by mr2gti on Sep-17-2005 12:34:

Belgian Bonzai, you are up matey!

Posted by psylo on Sep-21-2005 19:41:

It's been 4 days since Belgian Bonzai was told to mix the next track. Where is he, mr2gti?

Posted by Belgian Bonzai on Sep-21-2005 21:32:

Minutes, matey, minutes
edit: upping now; sorry for the delay, but for me it was a difficult style to connect with, well I did my best
edit2: done

I thought you were supposed to be replaced if you didn't upload in 2 days. That's what happened to Pez anyway..

Posted by Belgian Bonzai on Sep-22-2005 09:49:

I think he didn't answer within 48hrs; as soon as I got the pm, I let Mr2gti know I was on it. Then it took me at least 4hrs to find a track that fitted more or less (up to the audience to be the judge of that). Thats not counting listening to the set to catch the feel, bpm & key determination, normalisation, actual mixing, exporting, encoding and uploading lol

Ah right. Carry on.

Posted by mr2gti on Sep-22-2005 18:09:

Yip - you need to REPLY to my PM within 48 hours to say your on it.

PEZ68 replied but a tad late, but he's a back up now

Posted by mr2gti on Sep-22-2005 18:12:

DJ METATRON......

YOU'RE UP boss

Posted by JasonThomas on Sep-24-2005 08:06:

uploaded. really liking it so far. will give my full thoughts when it's done, but I'll just say now that i like where this is headed..

the track I chose is maybe a bit easy, but it's a killer and I think it fits really well while bumping the energy a bit. i tried not to make a stink with the tune this time and tried to match the style (a good style btw) while making it a bit less melodic and a bit more organic for Haak (which i hope is something he can work off of nicely).

anyway can't wait to see where this goes. got a bit more diverse group this time, which is awesome.

HAAK - it's your turn matey!

Posted by Haak on Sep-28-2005 16:14:

i've done my mix
my mixer makes everything really muddy for some reason, so i'm trying to eq my part to fit with the rest of the mix
