Owen Hargreaves should never even have been picked for England. He is crap.

the problem is that people like Owen & Defoe, and partially Rooney, they lack a physical prescense, eg shearer & sheringham. By having someone like Ashton who's awesome in the air to win the first balls into the box, it allows the poachers to score, you need 5 strikers imo in the world cup squad, and I'd give at least one of them a chance as they've been highly impressive. I'd also ponder giving a chance at some point to Pennant (He's been putting some lovely balls in at bham) Richardson, Downing, and anyone who we feel may be a key factor.

However as mentioned earlier, I don't think Lampard AND Gerrard fit in the same team. Have Carrick as a holding Man with gerrard imho (no offence to lampard but he digs in a bit more & has a better range of passing imo)

Where do I start though? Firstly I'd just like to have a wee laugh at your expense. It's always good to see you getting humped, especially by a team that is ranked lower than Rwanda, Lebanon, Botswana, Uganda and Sudan. Especially if means that it'll knock idiots like John "How can Northern Ireland possibly beat England?" Motson down a peg or two.

Motson - Arrogant bastard. The guy really is insufferable. One minute he's saying that England can win the World Cup, then he's reminising about a tournament 4 decades ago, and throughout his commentary he'll be showing little or no respect to the opposition while remaining supremely biased. He's 90% of the reason the non-English love to see this kind of result.

Wright - Show some professionalism for fuck sake. Ok, your team lost, doesn't mean you'll look any less stupid having a tantrum on live TV.

Sven - Has to go. You're tactically inept, have no motivational skills, seem to have no communication with your players during matches, and have just embarrassed the country which you manage. You guys desperately need an English coach; someone who will instil a bit of passion and commitment. I mean, look at the difference in the Scotland team since Walter Smith took over.

Beckham - You're getting a free ride, mate. Your reputation seems to precede you now, and only seem to be on the teamsheet because of your name. By all means he should be in the team if he's on form, but nobody should be an automatic choice.

Defoe - Get him in the team. He's on form, scoring goals, works hard and also isn't scared to get involved (unlike Invisible Owen, who you'll only see twice a game). Get it sorted.

Robinson - Be thankful it wasn't David James you had between those sticks.

Lost 1 qualifier since he took over, so I dont think he's tactically inept or simply unable to motivate. I do think he's indulging Beckham too much and his calm manner on the side of the pitch is badly going against him in the press! Oh, and he's shit at subs

Yeah, but look at your qualifying group just now: Poland, Austria, Northern Ireland, Azerbaijan, Wales. Hardly a group of world beaters there. You should be thankful you weren't in the Holland, Czech Rep, Romania, Finland group.

Poland are a decent team but you're right we should be beating everyone else, but in fairness we have havent we except for the first game think it was (?) and now this!

I just think some people might be buying into the hysteria in the papers a bit much. Sven's record with us is really good if you actually look at it.
