he's a gemini which is really weird cuz they aren't like that and i'm a scorpio (with gemini rising). it's almost like we have reversed roles when it comes to our signs. lol
i was goofing off on astrology.com though one day and i typed in his birthday to find out what his "love sign" is...like what sign you most act like in love...and it has to do with when u were born. anyways, his was cancer.
and igk...i mentioned that to him too...i told him that i didn't want him to get attached to me for the wrong reasons. he kind of got offended. his uncle and brother live down here too and he seems generally happy...i mean before he met me, he would go out clubbing with his brother and stuff, so it's not like he has no friends. he hangs out with this guy from his old job too a lot.

yea he does sort of act like a pisces, but he's june 2. this is the first time i've met someone who totally DOESN'T act like their sign. i mean he has a few gemini traits like he's really outgoing and sort of quirky, but a lost puppy dog in love is SO not like a gemini...gemini's are wishy washy and need their space. that's more like me...
Something is really fishy here.
This isn't a book you buy for your partner. I just don't picture it that way.
The guy sounds like he may be emotionally unstable ( I'm serious ) and felt the book was good for you when really he needed it himself.
He sounds like he could turn out to be judgemental as soon as things may go sour.
I mean seriously, the guy thinks you're not commited enough or aren't capable of showing love sufficiently AND you've only been together ( and met ? ) since july .....
Sure it's always great to feel that you've found a tender loving and caring guy, I'm sure that's a wonderful feeling for you right now, but really what is he sincerely searching for?
I'm not saying he's searching for something bad but he's possibly viewing you as something potentially excessively important putting you in a position you don't want to have ( like he just absolutely has to have a gf at all cost, or needs someone who can mother him ).
But that's just my idea ....

and i love cocaine as well...jeez Slyee..we have some things in common.
But anyways...your attitude can drive him away if youre too much as in "i need my space"...eventually im sure feelings will kinda even out..hopefully for the best

that's weird.
and jdat, i think u might be a little off...the part about HIM needing the book more than me is probably right though. i found it strange because i'm an excellent communicator and i always lay everything out, for the most part. so it seems like he would probably benefit from it more than me. lol but i don't think that he is like all unstable or anything...he's really on the ball and he's got his shit together...he graduated from Ohio State and has been working in florida for the last year (establishing residency here) and working as an assistant PT...now he's going to grad school to be a PT....so he's not like this big loser with no ambition, all obsessed with me or anything. the fact that he is motivated and works out and has friends tells me that he is, for the most part, an emotionally normal guy. he's just like a little puppy dog sort of
he's really out of place here...very sweet with that midwestern boy charm...his looks fit in here in miami that's for sure! 
but his personality doesn't...
he wants pooper
