thats really true that a dj should be able to adjust to his equipment. when i do parties or events with others peoples equipment the basic principle of beat matching is still in my head so i can still beat match the only difference is that the pitch slider may be looser or tighter. Again don't learn how to adjust the record speed by touching the platter, it will ruin the motor anyways. IF you pitch ride then using any piece of equipment is easy.

Tables i have used:
Stanton str8-80s
Numark 1620
Technics MKII
Technics M3D

thats three different brands and the transition was no way awkward it takes maybe two minutes to get used to your new tables.

transitioning from stanton to techs is easier since pitch adjusts + - 8%
