I will agree with you Jay, compared to other countries we are not as liberal.. but I still don't think Wal-Mart needs to sell sex toys... hahaha

It isn't going to hurt anyone, but I just think there are enough places around that cater to that that you don't need to go to your local walmart to pick up a vibrator/dildo or whatever other toy you may like

and sure.. take out the guns too while you are at it!

It's not really hurting anybody, but I still doubt the idea will fly - just wait till a parent finds one under their 12 year-old "princess'" bed, finds out she got it from Wal-Mart and raises a big fuss about it. Wal-Mart is gonna get a lot of negative publicity from almost all the parents, and eventually they'll pull the line off their shelves in order to save face.

there are also enough places that sell tvs and underwear but that doesnt stop walmart. Whats the diff?

"Price check in Aisle 4 for the neon tiger stripe dildo please"

It doesn't bother me if they sell sex toys but we all know the stink parents are going to make about this because Walmart and Shoppers are "family" stores, particularly Walmart. And we know some kid is going to wander into that hidden section of sex toys and think it's some new weapon to add to his toy collection.
Walmart is starting to sell EVERYTHING now LOL You can have McDonald's and buy your sex toys! Who would have thought

Families watch television together..
do they play with vibrators together?? I sure as hell would hope not!

Wal-Mart is suppose to be family based.. since when do family stores sell sex toys?? When was the last time you saw a couple of parents take a family trip to the Stag Shop??

It isn't that I am being a prude about it.. I just think that not every place needs to be selling these products.

Hehehehe, it's funny this is even an issue

It's good to see tho that some major stores are doing something taboo, perhaps one day parents and kids can talk about sex in canada

I can talk about sex with my parents.. hell.. sometimes my mom tells me MORE than I really need to know.. my brothers even tell me more than I need to know..

I think parents should educate kids about sex.. and be able to discuss it openly.. there is nothing wrong with that at all!

Probably the same reason some people find it embarrassing to buy condoms, or funny when other people buy them. Hell, I'd start trying on different kinds right in the aisle if I wasn't so sure I'd get arrested for it.

Or the guys with girlfriends who are all bashful about buying feminine hygiene products. Do it loudly and proudly - those pads and leg razors on the cashier's desk mean you're walking home to hot steamy sex, while everyone else in the store is going to home to Survivor and Chunky Soup!

never had to do that, but i wouldnt care. like buying a toothbrush, but its something else.

i used to tease my buddy clinty in waterloo when we were at the grocery store in the conestoga mall.

its me, him and davey, and im shopping down the isles, yelling, "clinty, whut kinda of pads did you say you're sister watned again? these...!!?!??" while holding them up and waving them around.

me and dave were totally doing it to be a jerk and embarrass him, but we found it so funny!!! LOL

im sick of everything being "family based" on one hand and then the same arm of society tells me that "family" isnt all about the traditional nuclear family.

So which is it?

And id like to know what percentage of society has a member of the family under 13 in it. Based on my street alone id assume that number is very deep into the minority.

I find it funny how the swede finds our discussion amusing. I remember in argentina the big story about janet's boob wasnt that you could see the pasty on tv. The big story was how they were laughing at americans for freaking out about nothing. Also noteworthy is that everytime they showed it there was no censorship or little black bar covering the boob, even on the 6 oclock news

ummm yeah that is just weird.

sex toys dont belong in walmart.

that's just my opinion.

same experience as buying condoms or lube!

Not exactly. Condoms at least imply sex with two people, whereas a sex toy more implies a lonely night with you, the toy, and a bottle of wine.

Eh. Sex addicted people do have an addiction, perhaps even worse than being on drugs. Rather comical, but it is a known issue.

And condoms do? Or sheer laced panties? I mean, those things do suggest 'erotic' themes no?

Or is it that people have trouble with more 'blatant' display of sexual themes?

Or is it that people just aren't used to having sex toys in a normal store?

This is the real reason why the idea won't be passed. Ok, fine, the idea will be great for 2 weeks. In my mind, this is a deficient business move.
