that is, the flu is the fittest between the two of us, simply because it's evolution occurs much much more rapidly than our's.

First of all, the flu is not the fittest between the two of us because human beings have survived diseases just as bad as this supposed mutated bird flu ( the black plague, small pox, polio).
Second of all, I guarantee that a healthy male in his early twenties has a much better chance of surviving this bird flu than an 83 year-old with Down's Sydrome.

I never said I was a slim and pretty Peruvian. I said I would be holed up in a mountain cave in Peru to avoid the bird flu. I would bring food, water, vodka, some hot chicks, a dj, a generator,
and some mercenaries to make cannon fodder of any people who approached my mountain cave. After my party was over, I would emerge to find a world filled with less annoying people as the weak ones would have succumed to the bird flu.
I think this is a better idea than joining in the mass hysteria that would follow in this flu actually happens.

Here's what I mean. You go to a job interview. Who do you think the boss would rather hire: I guy who says "I don't know shit", or the other guy who says : "I can do this, I can do that, I will make you money."
The 2nd guy. The first guy will get sent home with the line, "Don't call us, we'll call you".
The 2nd guy( which I hope will be you one day) might get the job. Even if he gets fired in a week because he doesn't know shit, he at least has the opportunity to prove himself. He may even know less then the 1st guy but at least he has the chance because he faked it.
