i don't know about you guys but imo that techno room rocks, i wouldn't mind paying 47,5 just for those 3 acts and a hell of a lightshow/soundsystem. but i also expected more trance names, actually just one would do

First we would visit Innercity this year because we wanted to do it at least once in our life. But now if I see the line-up, no way I would pay almost 50 euro for this. The only interesting thing is the technopart and therefor, I could easily visit 'I Love Techno' for a whole night of techno for even less money. The rest is just groovy en urban sh*t...

Again no IC this year.

I really think the composition is worthless this year, they only concentrate on the softer styles (except for techno) while Innercity was and always has been an event that should attract a wide audience.... certainly skipping this

theres no more trance b.c i think they realized that trance as real club music is nearing its end. the commercialization makes it more similar to pop. techno, house, and progressive are what they are promoting b.c they know that is clubbers music. also, minimal is the whats really hot in ibiza right now and everybody knows that all the trends come from there...that explains the minimal stage. i think they made a move towards the better by taking out all the mainstream trance acts and bringing somewhat more of a underground feel to the event. maybe itll flop this year but it can only get better as AZZ3D said.

Well..I don't know if you've ever been at Trance Energy, but that place totally rocked this year, so I really don't think your assumption regarding trance dying is really true... Maybe in mainstream culture, but hell...Trance is the best clubbing music there is!

Well...If I would have known the lineup for Innercity this year sooner, I would never have gone, but I already ordered plane tickets and hotel so I guess I'll just get hammered and hang out in prog. house area

As much as it might have "rocked", it doesn't change that Trance Energy is reknowned for its plague of 16 year old kiddies who heard that Trance Energy was a cool party on TMF.

They make up about half of the crowd, the rest is mainly Anabolic Arnie, his wife Karen Cokehead and their plastic friends.

I cannot really understand why anybody would call this a bad line-up. At least ID&T are trying something different this time. There's not really much to my personal liking on the line-up (apart from Rachmad who is always top notch, and I'd give Technasia another try as well) but that doesn't make it bad to me. Most of the whining people here should think a bit before they start crying because there's no big shot trance DJ on the line-up. There's more to EDM.

they also forgot a proper trance area, cause Im one of those trancewhores who really had hoped that Armin or Ferry would be there too, ... at least!

Im dissapointed, dispite all the good names in that line-up Im not going to pay all that money!

yes i'm definitely going to ILT, it's their 10 years anniversary

Posted by Fresh Prince on Oct-06-2005 12:47:

Will they have 2 people in with 1 ticket this year too?

Yes, I'm sure that's part of their business plan.

That's even a fact all the way up in Norway!

Although TE was really nice this year with j00f, the Filterheadz, MIKE and stuff....

I think IC's line-up is questionnable, but yet... Alter Ego, 2 Many DJ's, Kleinenberg and Clarke are pretty nice.... I doubt if they would sell all tickets....it's a little bit tricky to try to get a lot of people in with a line-up with pretty much unknown artists for many of the Dutch-party-go-ers...

Posted by jp on Oct-06-2005 19:15:

I'll give it a change. What else should you do on a boring saturday night in december? Maybe it's good to try some other dance music once a while

Posted by TrancEver on Oct-06-2005 20:40:

Smiley DJ

I think Innercity is weak this year...Kleinenberg might be the leader

Posted by The_G0dfather on Oct-06-2005 21:23:

2manydjs are crap

Posted by Roondogg on Oct-07-2005 00:41:

that lineup is worst ever, who wud pay to go to sumfing like that, complete waste of money, trance is nowhere near dying out whoever thinks that is not wise in the head, dance valley wud kick IC ass anyday, they wont get a sellout thats for sure

Posted by feidias on Oct-08-2005 11:34:

A strange thing is not the absence of trance but the absence of the trance-related styles (Remy ,Klinkenberg or maybe Marco V who is known that is really close to this year's IC main's room styles
Another one is the selection of the place! 35000 is a big number and i don't think those names could handle it over it would be a big suprise to me if they do

Posted by Salem on Oct-08-2005 16:02:

WTF, this is the worst line up i have ever seen, wheres the VVVVVVVVVVVVVVV

half these djs will shit there pants when they get up there infront of 35g. Dave Clarke will be the best to see fer sure.

BETTER SUMMON MARCO VVVVVV to save this mother ******.

I guess many people will think the same.
Also keep in mind that this is ID&T who's throwing this party,
they sell out Sensation before any line-up is known, so I'm betting they want to do the same with Innercity, why pay gazilions to superstar DJs when you can have the less costly no-names and much more profit. I'd guess it's becoming more about the party itself than the DJs, which is good in a way - for the organiser.
Also december is a busy party month, and if they let in 2 people in with 1 ticket like they did the last year, their success will be guaranteed.

i'm not going because of the lineup. not my choice, but the people i would have travelled with didn't recognize a single name on the lineup. these people only know armin and tiesto.
