I want to personally thank everyone who came out to support. That...was incredible. Getting to play to a crowd like that was a dream come true. Thank you Sean for the opportunity. The set will be available for download

Damn, sounds like it was even better than I thought it would be...now I really wish I wasn't up here.

Yup, it was a pretty good night. Matthias played his heart out and had a few surprises up his sleeve. He did a fabulous job opening up playing just the right songs and tempo. PvD played as you would expect throwing in what seemed like a lot of new material which was great. His encore seemed to be about an hour and even hes starting looking a little tired at the end.
We had a decent crowd and thanks to Sean and all involved in making it happen.

Want to send a big thank you to everyone that came out,

especially those who spun, TAs, those who give support to our events, those who attended last ngiht, and those who passed along the info... You all made it legendary.

We are glad to announce that $15,190 will be donated on behalf of our dance community by Paul van Dyk himself to the Red Cross.
From what we can tell, this will be the a largest dance music community music donation for katrina to date.

THANK YOU ALL.

more after i get some sleep.

WOW, what a night. had such a blast with my friend marcos and rhett. Marcos was the life of the party with those red and blue beam glasses that EVERYONE wanted to try on and did. partied my arse off and just felt like everything was perfect in life while pvd spun. seemed like after he slowed it down for the way out west song he started playing his own songs back to back which was awesome. i thought that mindcircus was going to be the closer but no, he just kept going and going. he spun a lot of new material as well in the beginning and all the buildups were just making me lose my heart it was soooooo good. matt, good set man, really got me going. thanks to the guy that i met in dallas at pvd last time cant wait to see the man again sooon. songs that i think i remembered

Andain - Beautiful Things (Gabriel and Dresden Unplugged Mix)
Way Out West - Mindcircus
Paul Van Dyk - Time Of Our Lives
Paul Van Dyk - Words or For an Angel( cant remember was too messed up)
Paul Van Dyk Feat. Hemstock and Jennings - Nothing But You
Paul Van Dyk - The Other Side
Sade - No Ordinary Love (?? Remix)

Isn't "Stoppage Time" originally by Guy Gerber?

You look different without your hair.

Congrats, too.

PS: Anyone have a more complete tracklist for PVD's set?

I enjoyed the night immensely, although being plastered off my face probably helped. I'm more of a house guy than a trance guy, but the set was great. He played a lot less cheddar than I expected, and a couple of the tunes (MINDCIRCUS!!!!) were mindblowing. Some of you may have seen me, I was the drunk guy who can't dance that well but when he's drunk thinks he can, and consequently fell on my ass more than once (damn spilled drinks making the floor slippery, or empty cups to step on). Anyway, it'll be nice to start meeting other regulars now that I've moved back to Houston, and hopefully there will continue to be quality nights like this one.

I have to say though, I enjoyed most of Matthias' set more than PVD's. Top stuff, and credit where credit's due.
