I can't wait for the WC. I hope this time around Poland shows that were more than just a "black horse". 2nd favourite would have to Deutschland. I mean their playing on their own soil and they will have a extreme home advantage than anyone else in the tournament. We'll be seeing Deutschland definitely in the final game!

i will bet my right nut that Brazil will win this world cup once again.

frankly id be surprised if germany make it past the quarter final stage ... in 2002 they made it to the finals courtesy oliver kahn and 4 years later his best days are long behind him and its the same with his backup jens lehmann who i never rated highly anyway ... ballack is definately a player who can turn a game around single handedly but the rest of the team just doesnt look that good (although i still rate kuranyi very highly)

8 of 9 WC's in Europe have gone to European teams. The exception was Brazil in 58 in Sweden when they had PELE. Brazil WILL NOT win this World Cup...they're not that good. You can quote me on this right now...a European team, perhaps Germany, England (if they get their act together), Italy, etc will win this upcoming one.

hahah you my friend know nothing about the german team... i wouldn't talk about them like that

when playing home, any medicore team can become a title contender, but when you have a fast and talented team, then sky's the limit.

Argentina...no way.

Look at the history folks. A European team will win it since it is in Europe. Brazil are not strong enough to win in a climate that favours Europeans (yes, this has a lot to do with it). By contrast, whenever the WC is set in South America/Mexico/Asia/USA where it's hotter, Brazil usually trounce.

whaaaaaaaaaaat? have you seen schweinsteiger??? deisler ???hitzlsperger ??? all fantastic youngsters that have so much to show.
edit: this is actually the first world cup that i will be looking forward to watch germany play. with so many young energetic stars this team is going to provide some of the most interesting football in the tourney!

Holland never have won it and they won't win it this time. They're almost as bad as England for choking/getting screwed by FIFA.

The only reason why England can't win the WC's is because exactly what you stated. Their league is the toughest/strongest league on this planet. The players are beign squeezed out every bit of sweat on every game they play. It's no wonder when it comes for Englands national team to play tournaments, the players are just ridicously tired.

Japan isn't a weak team. They don't have a great striker who can consistently put the ball in the net, but they have pretty damn good midfield.

I agree. England should do well. But England does have trouble with strikers. Need more consistency from there.

TBH, Kahn still isn't doing that bad. Though with keepers, age doesn't matter as much to them.
Kuranyi sucks. Need to see more Podolski and maybe Michael Hanke.
Klinsmann has the Germans play a more open, more fluid attacking football that should be interesting to watch. They have the necessary players, it's just wait to see if they can pull it off.

a much stronger league full of fucking foreign managers and foreign players (Hello Arsenal, hello Chelsea, hello LIVERPOOL) which does not let national talent develop. At least the only final England made, they won. Holland lost two in a row.
