As for good trance in 2004....

Yep, tbh I heard Whiteroom first, but then afterwards I heard Remember at a mates house and I recognised the vocals instantly!

i gotta agree on andy moor's tracks lacking bass. at least tilt - twelve has no real punch at all! i hate that as i think the track is great, but it's kinda shit to mix it in as it doesn't sound that great because the lack of bass!
maybe i'll do a re-edit of it some day if i ever figure out how to use any sound editing programs!

Don't fucking patronise me.

It never stops, I've read so many forums with negativity towards Dj Sammy. Ye he sucks big time, but aren't you glad he didn't do a collaboration with armin or andy whiteroom, Imagine how that would sound for a second.

Since then tho, Andy Moor has done nothing but shit. I rant about it all the time, but the Whiteroom remix of SummerDream is absolutly shocking. It is the perfect track to define "bland, fluffy, monotonous, overdone crap". If theyd stopped the Whiteroom project after the Whiteroom track, maybe people would have some respect for them. But since then, every track they have made has been awful and Ive lost any respect for the Whiteroom name that I ever had.

Edit: And a rerelease of Whiteroom in an 05 mix, only one year after the original, is the perfect definition of a 'cash cow'.

I pretty much agree with everything you said. The White Room was a decent track, but the subsequent productions from Andy Moor and Adam White (together and separate) left a lot to be desired. It's a shame because some of Andy's older tracks are top notch.

If they didnt credit BT they could all go and fuck themselves.

just heard bt - remember.. i agree with you its somekind of remix..
n agree with you too why they didnt give BT a credit..??

but this show how creative is andy moor n adam white.. they cut n fucked the vocal into something else hehe

atm overall is still cool.. hehe

cheers!

I think the record was out of press so for the repress they decided to bomb out the awful b-jammin mix and do a new remix, so its not like they were pushing out a new release entirely.

Although the new mix isnt that great, it was probably a good idea and will sell more records.... Oh yeah, should be in shops tomorrow

Well, i dont really love them but think they are nice producers. So i think you are going a bit far. Anyway yeah, they are not bad.

Posted by Tayfoon on Oct-10-2005 23:24:

Its ok if you dont like them

but if you think AM has no producing skills...

Posted by miamitranceman on Oct-10-2005 23:26:

Moor was good back in the day and is still good, he just changed his sound over the years...nothin' wrong with that. Andy Moor's got some great basslines in his tracks...don't know what the other dude was talkin' about.

not many people think about that. good call.

I really wasn't sure about this track at first, but then I heard it in an Adam White set in Sydney, and hearing peopl ego nuts to that track really put me in a beter place when listening to it. Love it now more than before...

regardless, I haven't been a fan of any Whiteroom tune since. It really gave a new sound at first, but holy monotonous trance already!

"Whiteroom - The Whiteroom" was aload of bollocks. In my opinion anyway. I can't see myself rushing out to buy the 2005 remake :-P

If you like the track, fair play!

Posted by Mortyman on Oct-11-2005 00:38:

Well, that's the thing, I'm not too sure if it's a 'remake'? The release says Whiteroom 2005 (original/Leama & Moor Remix) So maybe they are releasing the '04 orginal and calling the vinyl 2005 because of the new Leama and Moor Remix?????

on the technical front, yes, he's a very highly skilled studio engineer. on the creative front... he has a helluva lot to be desired.

I personally like The Whiteroom, Its propobly the best track of 2004 in my opinion. When they came out with Someday, I was not such a big fan of the track but it grew into me, when the melodic breakdown hits, I really like that. I prefer the Instrumental for Someday, I think the vocals are garbage. I did not like thier new remix of Summerdream though. There is another thread about White & Moor, its getting kind of annoying that people are just bashing and bashing them.

Posted by kokkenmaster on Oct-11-2005 18:00:

I kinda like the Andy Moor sound like 'World Doesn't Know', 'Air For Life', 'Whiteroom', 'Someday'... The last one I even bought on a vinyl and if 'Whiteroom' is rereleased (orig version incl). I think I will buy it also...

Whiteroom imo is a very mediocre track.. nothing special about it. I recognized those to be Jan's vocals from the Remember acapella. When i first heard it I seriously thought it was some amateur dub remix of Remember.

Btw, Andy Moor really needs to drop the vocal "edits".. there's nothing special about it and neither is it creative. Sounds a little pretentious but this trick has been milked to death by MANY producers.

When you find your head which is probably far far up your ass

Tell me who does the vocal chop as good as Moor besides David West
