I was working at Enterprise Rent-A-Car at the time and I remember it was soooooooooooo slow that morning. Then everything went down and about 4 hrs later we got HAMMERED with reservations as there were no flights going anywhere. All the people that had flights that day were wanting to rent cars to get to where they needed to go. Mind you this was about 60 miles southeast of Chicago and we were getting overflow from Midway and O'Hare. We were booked solid for the next week and a half.

I also vividly remember my elderly car porter saying, immediately after it happened: "I'll guarantee you that it was that Goddam Bin-Laden." I had no idea who Osama was at that time.

I also remember everyone going CRAZY to get gas. Huge lines at the gas stations.

For some strange reason, after i took a shower in the morning before heading to work, i turned on the tv and decided to watch a lil CNN. There was a HUGE fire in the pentagon. "Rumors of plane crashing into pentagon"
When i got to school, the instant that the TV turned on the 2nd tower came crashing down.
The visual of hundreds of thousands of pounds of steel crashing down was amazing and the next instant i was also thinking about the thousands of lives that were being lost as ceiling after ceiling came crashing down on them.
I fell into a depression over the next few weeks.

i was smoking a j with a friend at the office as it was his last day at work. we flipped on the tv and there was this news broadcast of the plane hitting the first tower. we were like ... "wow.. what movie is this ??" we locked up the office and went to a bar only to find it was showing the same movie and nearly everyone in the bar was watching. i said something along the lines of "this movie must be pretty good" then the guy next to me tells me its the real thing. my mate was supposed to fly to the US in 2 days but it got delayed till about a week.

Didn't care...and honestly. I still don't. I'm one of them conspiracy people who believe it was all planned by the government. After 9/11 I went into research and found a ton of little secrets.

I mean...I don't wish death upon anybody...but I do give my condolences to the famlies who have lost people in our governments lies.

I woke up with the radio on listening to andy savage in the morning... i guess that tells where i live irl... lol

anyways they were like "oh some plane crashed into the wtc" so i was a little groggy and thought "ahh some idiot probably got lost in the clouds and crashed his cessna or something into the towers" and the they were like "it looked like a big plane" and i was like "hrmmm"

So I go downstairs and turn on CNN and at that moment live the 2nd plane crashed and i was like (insert keanou reeves in bill and teds excellent adventure voice) "woa".

Yea, so I was in my boxers watching it on TV. Watched it on tv in a few classes at school that day too (btw this was 10th grade).

My friend who is afraid of flying sorta woke up and turned on her tv and the first thing that came on was the footage from below the towers of the second plane going in... haha she thought it was a movie...

Ok back to rehab.

Wow...watching that video.

Watching that 2nd plane go into the building when they show the camera with the guy sitting down...it just looks...fake. I mean, I know it's real...but watching that just makes you think it was fake...

Posted by SpecRadio on Oct-11-2005 03:48:

That video is so sad

They took all the sad parts and put them in this

"They heard stuff hitting the ground" "We thought it was debris...but it was really people....people so desprate that they wanted to die that way"

Sad....

And it's horrible how the government still keeps the secrets from us.

Posted by Hulk Hogan on Oct-11-2005 04:04:

"Oh wow, planes have crashed the Twin Towers".

WE WILL NEVER FORGET and all that stuff.

This will be a defining moment in our generations' lives. There was Kennedy's assasination, man's first step on the moon and the Challenger space shuttle disaster (although I vaguely remember that, but seeing as how most of you were pretty young when 9.11 occured, i;m including the Challenger incident).

This will be one of those things that will forever be etched in our minds because we lived through it and saw firthand the accounts and repurcussions of 9/11. our kids will ask us where we were and what we were doing.

I remember vividly & exactly about that day. Everything, i even remember the sky outside being a bright azure blue, not a cloud in the sky, i remember the smell and what i was wearing that day and who i talked to and everyone on my freshman dorm hall glued to the TV all day and listening to the accounts. I saw the 2nd plane hit the tower and thinkng " this is a hollywood movie" woke my roommate up and we watched the 2nd plane hit. I remember frantic phonecalls from people on campus to parents back home. I remember my teacher canceling class and breaking down crying because she knew someone who worked in the 2nd tower. I remember just being very shocked and numb all day.

It's something that I will never forget as long as I live

thanks for the video link DA

I liked the quote by Guiliani when he says

" if you censor it too much, if you try to find too many euphemisms for what happened, then I think you rob people of the ability to relive it and motivate them to prevent it from happening again"

Well I was listening to KROQ's Kevin & Bean Show on my way to school. After arriving I watched for about half an hour the news while drinking hot chocolate.

I just watched the video and cried my eyes out.

I hope that 9/11 was the worst event that I will ever live through, and I truly hope that people will stop hating each other, and there can be peace.
