some people dont have a choice about it
ive got to work christmas eve and new years eve aswell

Posted by chojin on Oct-24-2005 15:55:

used to have to do it at tesco, because they'd work it so that you'd get one day off, so that you have to work on xmas eve and nye.

sucks.

...i quit after the first time of being made to do it actually

Posted by messytechie on Oct-24-2005 17:51:

god why did you do it?

loads of jobs i've had have asked me to work xmas and new years, but have I? No way!

Just bunk off or pull a sicky, they're hardly gonna sack you.

And if they do, fuck 'em, you had fun.

i dont like the look of this, just over a month to go, and still nothing

I hope it deosn't turn out like last year, i refuse to go to edwards and listen to vocal bootlegs of for an angel again, i'll just have to lock myself in my bedroom

Posted by xhanax on Nov-18-2005 16:13:

hahaha edwards....aint been in one of them since i was about 15.

theres no way id let myself end up in 1 of them places at new year n then wait for a taxi for about 6 hours. shit end to a shit night

prob end up goin to gods or passion. not sure yet. gods looks a bit more likely cos weve got a place to crash there.

shhh don't laugh, its not funny

Posted by xhanax on Nov-18-2005 16:17:

dont worry ull be fine. whats the problem anyway? is there nothin decent on by yours? or are your mates bein bores?

Posted by Streakfury on Nov-18-2005 17:17:

A bit of both really. I never know what's on, and most of my mates make other plans, live to far away to bother, or just dont want to go to the same things as me. Might head down to a mate's in Cardiff though, not sure yet.

as much as london attracts the big names, they don't seem to play here on NYE, we've got ferry and marco v at brixton academy, but thats about it.
'Tis deffo all about house parties on nye, i might try and see if my mum will make arrangements for the night

Posted by Coup on Nov-18-2005 17:52:

Done clubbing - packed to the rafters - cant be arsed with that again.
Done town - generally shite.
Done sitting in - boring.

Leaves house party or pub.

My BF and I going to france and italy for the holidays, and are trying to find a good party to attend new years. So far all the DJs we'd like to see are not going to be in those countries. Italy seems to be a bust on new years, unless they just schedule things late.

We've noticed a few parties in England that have really piqued our interest: Laurent Garnier, Marco V, and James Zabiela in New Castle.
We are seriously considering just flying to london for new years since the charters are so cheap.

Do any of you know about the scene in Italy? I know France has a great scene, there doesn't seem to be many big parties going on new years.

Do you think London would be a better time at new years?

We'd really appreciate some advice.

Cheers
