I'm with Nutter, I don't think it'd work to try and compress all of the event threads into one, given that there could be up to 10 events upcomming or just passed at a time, it would get far to cluttered, and there would be confusion as to which event people were refering, when they ask questions or make comments.

an events sub-forum (not just a sticky thread) is needed. kinda like how the TOTA's have set up their forums.

and once someone posts a party its added to the list then their post is deleted.

yeh that could work.

needs strict guidelines

i.e.

1. only new event details are to be posted
2. only approved/recognised posters are able to post
3. for all reviews, comments, randomness - start a new thread
4. ead paulie

So then the promotor starts a new thread for 'discussion'.

And herein lies the problem.

Its a good idea for a quick reference, however I don't think it will solve anything.

But the guidlines by narcism are good, and hopefully will sort out some of the crap.

well that's why an events sub-forum = teh win.

As for adding new promotion threads to a sticky events thread, and then deleting the original post, I still don't understand where general discussion of the event is going to take place. In the sticky thread? Cause if this is the case, I can only imagine that such a thread will become hoplessly congested.

the events that are featured in the sticky don't generate discussion - i.e. if you aren't a regular poster on au.ta but still want to promote your event.

for the people that do contribute to the au.ta forum as a whole, they've earned the right to post a separate thread for their events - for both details, discussion and general spam.

Ahhh OK then.

Well yeah I think that could work well.
