Ive been on Party107.com, ETN.FM and some other stations as well.

Alot of the DJ's on these stations use tables and cd-j's. They usually ask what equipment you use and when you do a guest mix for ppl on these stations they ask you personally to make sure you use some form of dj'ing equipment

Im sure their's some amount of DJ's who will use traktor or ableton and such but not that big of a deal really.

As far as play "exclusive tunes" as you say. One person made a point saying its good for the artist because it gives them more exposure.

People will always download and play mp3's not really anyway of stopping it at the moment.

There is a traktor version of Final scratch, dunno if pvd used that one but I remember Filo & Peri did

since summer Paul uses Ableton. Before he uses Final Scratch and Traktor as the "player".

traktor is fun, i bought a multi output soundcard and plugged it into the mixer, i can switch between it and vinyl , good times

good fun... hook on some CDJs, adn u have a perfect set up when u go out to play... espcially when the organisers are assholes, and only give u the CDs that they want specific tracks played from, on the same night...

NI and Stanton make Final scracth

NI make a chopped down version of traktor specifically for FS2. and FS2 is compatible with all versions of Traktor after 2.6

I dj weekly on ETN, I mix via software (ableton) and I purchase 100% of my music or receive the music via promo from producers.

Noone cares if a radio show is mixed via cdjs, vinyl, or software... its about the music, not how it is spun.

If you knew anything at all about this scene you'd know that the level of resident we have on ETN typically dosen't even know how to illegally download tracks, much less need to.. because they're creating the music themselves or have connections in the industry. I don't think the biggest names in the scene are sitting around illegally downloading tracks their friends produce. I'd really love for you to come up with some specifics on our residents list, especially on the trance channel, who are bedroom / MP3 DJs. It'll be fun to see you accuse A-list artists of piracy just because you don't know who they are so you think they're a nobody playing mp3's lol

I suspect thread starter is a no talent mp3 DJ that I've turned away BECAUSE he was a no talent MP3 DJ and I don't let people like that on my channel.

I'll grant you that a lot of internet radio is made up of people with very little talent who mix via software or use illegal tracks, but we at ETN take great care try to to keep illegal content off our station. One look at our resident DJs list by anybody who knows anything about the scene will help prove my point, we have artists as residents creating their own exclusive shows that MAKE the music you people are trying to accuse them of pirating. For you to group ETN in with other stations that don't have any major artists just bedroom DJs or mp3 DJs just shows you really don't know anything about us, and honestly I'm glad because I'd rather have a few smart fans who appreciate what we do than all the idiots in the world who don't even know enough to appreciate what they're getting.

oh, and where I come from 70,000 plus visitors a month is a crowd any way you look at it.

Tracklisting forum is being used for the purpose it was created, to tracklist sets played by DJ's.
There is nothing to say it is for professional DJ's only

To find a tracklist by a certain DJ just use the 'search' on here or prefrably use google search (its quicker)

example - Carl Cox radio 1 2005 tranceaddict

and that should return any tracklists posted for carl cox on radio 1 in 2005 on tranceaddict, so your issue of the tracklisting forum being full of 'etn dj mixes' is non valid

Normally, I'd love to jump into a discussion such as this, but I wont.

1.) The argument is baseless and factless. You know, with 100% certainty, that ETN artists aren't sent promos? ETN is highly-respected amonsgt the Trance community, so whenever there's a resident DJ there will always producers vying to send them stuff in order to get exposure.

2.) Boomer's right on the whitelabels, and dinoXpress is right on the FS/Serato issue.

3.) Spouting your mouth off in anger without providing hard evidence to support your claim isn't a way to start a discussion. What you're doing is flaming.

+ 1... i did a couple of shows on there and they can be mixed however u want to mix them and contain whatever u want them to contain. gone right off internet radios, there are way too many of them playing the same stuff. boring
