I for one welcome our new supreme overlord.

instead of no bumping, why dont u say no bringing back dead threads? which is what i assume u mean? ie threads that have no relevence anymore.

Why?

because its ridiculous. if we've started a thread about an up-coming
event and it's slowly gone to the next page, as they sometimes do, we should be able to bump it again to continue discussions.

the rule should be once the event is over, no-one should be allowed to bump it after a week has passed.

If its down so low obviously it wasnt sparking enough interest in the first place.

Posted by sezzy on Oct-26-2005 01:03:

that's not true. sometimes if heaps of new threads are getting started at the same time or if the thread has been going for a while, things can easily slip down the list.

that doesn't mean that people won't want to discuss the event as the date gets closer and things such as set times, etc are released.

Posted by charlee on Oct-26-2005 01:06:

I dont think a bump here or there is really an issue

Then re-read what the rule says
quote:
Information updates to an event are allowed within reason.

ok so that means that people can't bump the thread to discuss it unless they're posting more information?

thats ridiculous.

the no bump rule should only apply to old threads

i agree with sezzy because i dont get to read TA every day and i rarely look at any threads that have fallen off the first page.

well then thats your problem! too lazy to click 'next page'???

Posted by Dean Millson on Oct-26-2005 04:04:

How often would you say you did that yourself Philby?

Posted by Philby on Oct-26-2005 04:05:

every few days, or whenever i cant see a thread on the first page i wanted to read.

Posted by jono4L on Oct-26-2005 04:06:

haha yeah i guess it is.... oh well maybe i just shouldnt be allowed to know about or go to events that i let slip through to the 2nd page. my bad.

Posted by Philby on Oct-26-2005 04:26:
