Evil1

Some people are soooo fucking ignorant and hate other ppl just beacuse of their skin color. To me this ppl are so naive, and dont think that all of us are the same exact thing, but just like shoes, all of us come in different sizes and colors. But i believe that in the long run, life will teach them a lesson. And only then, they will become more open minded, and will learn how to share the world with all different types of ppl.

But im also glad that us,the new generation, are being more open minded about this matter, and hopefully, racism will dissappear forever!! Cant wait for that time to come!!

Racism and all forms of prejudice will never disappear forever. Some people are just born to hate. It's just the way the world works. People will always find something to hate. Even when we are all the same color, people who still have toes will be ridiculed and hated on. Race is not the only form of prejudice, which most people know, but don't comprehend. Racism is usually thought of as the same as prejudice, but it's totally not.

I think it's kind of ridiculous to not talk about these things because they may promote racism. Racism will exist as long as there are distinguishable races - it's human nature and deeply rooted in our history and current society. Not talking about it will not destroy it.

Matter of opinion but FYI: I am in an "inter-racial" relationship, as is my younger sister. My two older sisters are both "out" lesbians. My dad was raised in a racist household BUT let me and my sister's make up our own minds about race and through our ACTIONS not WORDS has become more open minded. Talking about it will help of course but just don't talk about it act upon it as well, all talking does is fuel the fire. I agree that people can have any opinion that they want, as I can also have mine and state it when I want. I honestly don't know you so I can't hold it against you but I am the most open minded person you will meet, Live and Let Live but not at the expense of others. And Racism will only exist if we as humans allow it too, not because there are distinguishable races!!! I will listen to other people but it doesn't mean I have to agree I guess I am supposed to not say anything to allow the others to be happy and prove I am open minded.....yea um okay.

My father was seriously racist. He though spanish people were ok and black people are ok to have a friends but not to date. He had these stereo types that he used to rant about all the time regarding black people being lazy, couldnt hold down a job, stupid, never going anywhere in life etc etc. I had to hear that shit all my life and I always hated him for it. I never let him influence me on who to be friends with or to date. For me a person is a person no matter what theyre color race religion or whatever. He used to say shit like if I ever see you date a black guy ill kill you and yes he even used to use the N word. My father was out of our lives about the time I turned 16 (I'll be 25 next month). THANK GOODNESS soo....an update on where we are today.

My hubby is black/puerto rican/taino
I am polish. My son is a mixture of the above. My mom is divorced from my father and dating a black guy. As hard as he tried to turn us racist he was never successful.

It's true, I don't know you and you don't know me so there's not much to be said here. I'm just trying to point out that being openminded means you're receptive to other people's ideas, both good and bad. Because you have liberal beliefs does not necessarily make you openminded. You could be a fanatical left winged thinker and you'd still be viewed as closeminded by conservatives and should actually be viewed that way by the whole world.

Anyway, I didn't mean to offend. You're entitled to your opinion and I hold nothing against it.

Again... agree with Arn here. Dating someone outside of your race does not automatically make you not prejudice. There are hundreds upon hundreds of prejudices that exist in the world. Race is just the most talked about...
