Wow, ignorant.

Go lookup "Canon" and where their cameras are made, then, do some research on how much less digital cameras cost than they do here in north america, THEN, compare the cost of a digital camera, to an analog, and just think how easy it is for an asian to get a camera, of any kind.

now, if the pictures were all of chinamen walking through a field with a straw hat on their head and a rifle on their shoulder and reaping grain, or all of Asian people sitting cross-legged at a short table eating noodles with some chopsticks, or driving a Supra, they would be acceptible pics.

Naw, this isnt a stereotype either, now is it?

I bet some asians take GREAT photos.

I'd really like to see this guys statistical data from Sony, Kodak, Canon, Olympus, Nikon, and any other major camera or film maker for the Asian countries so he can back up that claim.

Making false statements to validate your stance on an issue is as laughable as the photos in this thread.

Sorry kamil, but that was kind of ignorant.

there is over 2.5 billion asians. most of them EXTREMELY poor.

i bet 85%+ dont own a camera.

quit thinking everyone lives like you live. I see how these people live everyday. youd be shocked.

otherwise great thread!

That's racist.. asians take more than just GREAT photos

they take GREAT shits
they take GREAT pride in their delicious food
they take GREAT efforts to develop technology
the list goes on and on

jesus

Here's a great photo - not sure which race took it, but it's probably safer for me that way

Pure conjecture, don't assume anything without first researching it first.

By the way the poverty level in China is 29 million, or roughly 3.1%.

have u ever stopped to think about where the facts and fugyres of a poverty line are dervied?

India claims it has the biggest middle class, yet youd find if u came here, this so called middle class is poor.

You dont even understand what the meaning of poor is and poverty lines.

its all facts and figures to you.

i bet youve barely left texas. maybe mexico a couple times, who knows,

but i guarantee you, the poverty i have seen in asia would far suprass anything you could believe.

And also, on a side note, you really think that figure means anything? statistics like that are altered and tweaked all the time, i mean shit, the chinese government isnt exactly liberal in our sense of the word. please. travel, see the world, then talk to me, i have no time for the culturally uneducated.

Sorry bud, I've traveled abroad through Europe, Asia, and Central America. So I have a pretty good idea of what poverty looks like. There you go, making baseless assumptions yet again. Maybe next time you won't jump to conclusions about irrelevant information, and assume you're so much more well traveled or have a better understanding of what poverty is than most people.

But, I'm not expecting great leaps of intellectual prowess from you.

Then you are fucking retarded if you think the majority (50%+) asians can afford a camera.

Like honestly, you've traveled and you still cant wrap your head around this concept!

I have also yet to see a "great leap of intellectual prowess" from the likes of you either. Have fun in your happy little "all asians could have cameras" world.

But its 2:20 Am here and i have to be up in three hours. Im sorry we didnt see eye to eye on this. ill go ask some poor people tomorrow if they can afford a camera or if they wasted all their money on dinner.

Posted by Allied Nations on Oct-27-2005 20:52:

Oh, and for the record, [europe (not equal) poor].

save a very small percentage compared to places like india, bangladesh, pakistan, china, indonesia, etc.

I don't think all Asians can afford cameras, you're pulling that out of your ass. Go back and read over what I've written, but so far it seems you can't do simple reading comprehension. So I'll expect you to be dancing around making outrageous claims some more.

I'll be dancing, but no outrageous claims here.

In fact i agree with you, its Kamil that i dont agree with. i just dont agree with the statistic about china and i want to know what they base their povertly level on.

I admit I'm wrong, srsly.

I just spend so much time around the poor here, that i get very passionate about this subject. and i apologize for judging you. im used to dealing with very ignorant people.

If the internet was better suited towards expression of emotion rather than just plain words youd see that i really mean my apology. Unfortunately, Internet and inflection haven't met yet.

Apology accepted, we can be CORe friends again.

Yeah each nation designates its own "poverty" level, but I'm pretty sure there is a universal bar thats set. Based on if the people of that region can afford the basic necessities or something similar.

Societal standards are different everywhere, but basic necessities always remain the same. Food, shelter, clothing, education, medical, and security.

i am poor and i have a camera, how do you explain that ?

I just think the definiton of a countries povertly line, and being "poor" is a very different thing.
