The person i really wanted to see that night was Felix da Housecat. I give him a 3/10 on performance, but 9/10 for keeping the vibe up. He had to be drunk. He was hitting the Patrone stright from the bottle. The transition were awful, cutting to antoher song mid sentence of a chorus. He stopped the tracks multiple times, and the worst thing.... him cutting the volume to parts of the chorus the audience should be saying. That would not be a problem....if most of those people 1. knew who he was, 2. actually listened to EDM in the first place.

But he threw down some amazing tracks, Daft punk - rollin' and scratchin, lotsa new wave, and some modern rock. He was amazing! i was happy at the end

Markus played a decent set i belive. One thing i do want to say is thanks to you all. thank you.

I showed up too late for Markus Schulz's set, which was the main reason I wanted to go to MM.

I caught Deep Dish and Marco V. Both had good sets. It was my first time seeing both and I was impressed. The sound system wasn't good, as others have mentioned. I wish I had brought my earplugs. There were way too many drugged out little kids with their puddles on the floor.

Overall, I wouldn't say it was worth the $55.00 I paid to get in ($50.00 for ticket and $5.00 I paid the guy at the front of the line to get it for me). However, I still had a good time hanging out with the usual TAs and meeting some new ones. You guys rock!

OK MY Full Review

Before Concert

Me and my friends all left for the LA sports arena around 6:15 so we where on our way when out of nowhere this asshole decides to press on his breaks at the last minute....we crash into the car in front of us!! the airbags didn't even diploid the whole front was messed up and fuel started to leak from the front!! so we pulled up to the side of the freeway on the 110.. we noticed we couldn't go anywhere we where completely stuck my buddy started tripping out because he was very shocked of what just happened (of course i was also scared out of my mind) ok so by this time its 9:00 we contact the police and get a towing truck and they drove us all the way to Long Beach Blvd + we contact all of our parents told them that we where ok. After things got settled and we got situated I look at my buddy and he smiles back at me and he starts jumping up and down im like what's up? MONSTER MASSIVE!!! Lets go ..im like WTF you car just got completely messed up and u still want to go? he's like Hell yeah...then that second i called a cab and we got to the LA Sports arena around 10:00..of course after we had the towing company take the car all the way back to Yorba Linda.

During the Concert

Ok so we got into the sports arena and we started to get pumped up just like we did for Tiesto In Concert because the sound system was just soo sick. We got in there just when Markus Schulz was playing and we just chilled inside danced for a few hours and went back inside to use the bathrooms. (don't ever use the bathrooms in the LA sports arena ..!! seriously lol) after that we went back into the dance floor and started to dance...after that i decided to walk around to the other rooms ...what a mistake.. we got into the DRUM AND BASS room and i saw all the kids on the floor all fucked up.. made me sick so we left .. then the crazy RAVERS came in and started going nuts everybody was fucked up. I swear I saw this kid that was seriously not older then 15 years of age just fucked up ..laying on the floor while people gave him light shows.. we didn't really care because there's pretty much no getting away from it ..till we are 21 and go to actual clubs. I loved every second of Deep Dish's set it was amazing.. Marco V was also very good i loved it. it was such an awesome first Monster Massive i liked it a lot, now if we can just get rid of all the Cracked out kids that be way better.

After The Concert

Well we got home around 5:30 and I had work at 6:30...so I said F! it and didn't even go to sleep ..I was a walking zombie for the rest of the day.

The ******s that ran MM didn't even bother to post fucking set times or lineup anywhere at the event. WTF. waste of money and markus schulz sucked

Second MM for me. So much of the above statements are true for me as well:

1) Deep Dish had some great tracks....but overall I found them boring.

2) Marco V was good, played a lot of mainstream stuff. Personally, I like that because I get to hear tracks I have listened to for a while...but on a HUGE system with crowd reaction.

3) About that main room system......yeah, it was hit and miss. I had earplugs (thankfully) and quite frankly can't imagine not having them at such a loud event. It was painfully loud without them in. Bass was good, for the most part, but mids and highs were tricky to get right. Vocals were hard to pick up at times.

4) Where the hell were the lasers? I'm a big laser fan, and there was NOTHING! The lighting was ok, but improvements could have been made.

5) Man, some of those gogo dancers were freakin' HOT!

6) Druggies are dumb. Very annoying, but honestly...comical at the same time.

I left before Marco's set was done, didn't want to deal with the traffic Overall, it was ok...but Deep Dish really put me to sleep at times. It seemed like their set went on forever.

Anybody else notice a VERY MASCULINE looking go-go dancer in the main room?

Luckily, no. Was he/she on the left or right side of the stage?

Posted by HotDogWater on Oct-31-2005 09:00:

If you're facing the stage, on the right

all right here we go......

got there @ 9ish.. waited in line for EVER!!! got in just in time to get situated to see markus, who threw down. half the time i could not see him because SOMEBODY kept holding up a big ass heart right infront of me covering my view . so after markus i didnt have much to do as i was waiting for MARCO to come on. so i went to the dnb room with my group of friends. then sub focus went on right as i got there. now, im not much for dnb, i like it, but it takes alot for a dnb dj to make me dance my ass off, but GOD DAMN did that guy threw down. first time in years i danced threw an entire dnb dj's set.

well after that i wanted to go catch some of deep dish and prepare for marco to go on. i was pretty much in the front center of the main stage when i met carrie. first time i have EVER met a TA at any party i have gone to. i dont even know how we started talking. but none the less, i met her, robert stern, and arf at the same time, and they took me to meet other fellow TAs, witch was great. it was awsome meeting all of you guys because i have always wanted to put faces with some of you guys. oh ya and carrie, thx for dancing with me during say hello. great moment in my life. but then i had to leave to go meet with my friends so we could prepare for marco.

well, he did not disapoint me. MARCO V OWN3D THAT CROWD! i was so happy he played automanual and ending with more than a life a way was amazing. it was also cool to here him play randy katana - play it loud

so all in all a great night for me, sorry some u didnt not enjoy, but i know i had a blast!

I slept for like 11 hours. MM was good for me. Deep Dish, Olav, and Markus made my night.

The sound in the house area sounded great to me. Main room, lots of BASS by the stage.

pics up now @
http://www.csoltis.com/gallery2/v/w...rmassive051029/

It was hard to find any TA's we got in @ 10ish jjust to see the opening of Markus and he played an awesome set while I looked for TA's at the front.
Found: robert, michelle, kris, carrie, mike, and a few others I didnt recongnize right off the bat. Later on, around 1ish I finally saw bjorn. It was my first MM and I would do it agian.

Wow. Doesn't sound like it was too great of a night. Glad I went to Sasha. I think everyone who went to ICE will give Sasha a 10/10. He tore it up. Good thing Markus wasn't headlining because I may have gone to MM instead despite my disdain for massives these days.

And where the hell are the pics!!!
