why does everyone on this site love to bash tiesto? Just like anything else, you get to the top of something and everyone wants to bring you down.

here is my take...i liked Tiesto's productions a few years ago.Honestly live he is terrible and had the mixing ability of an epileptic monkey on
meth.If i wanted to pay 95 dollars to see some wrecks i would go see a nascar race.He stunk up the place last year at Beb and could have had the same set by inserting a cd and not doing any of the work.I am not saying he is totally without talent, just no where near being in the top 10.Tiesto simply has banked on the fact that he was number 1 for so long and has done nothing to warrant me wanting to see him since then. You are allowed your opinions, and I'm not saying dont go.I hope you have a wikked time, cause 95$ is alot to not have fun...i would get a rub and tug instead for that price.

PS Boots in The Dryer!!!!nuff said.

I agree with you to a certain extent. I remember back at the old sona the first time i ever saw tiesto...was wicked. i've seen him everytime that he's been back to montreal since...but nothing lives up to the first time. However, i did see him at a very small show at the living....that was wicked. Small venue, so close to the decks...wicked. I also agree that these ticket prices are rediculous. I was fortunate enough to get some of the early, $70. As for BeB, weren't they having problems with their decks, forcing the dj's to work with cds? Either way, thanks for the input.

People in the VIP stands were shaking the DJ booth too much causing the vinyls to skip.

Preach didn't have a problem... DOOT DOOT DOOT.

See dasefx, the problem with Tiesto is that, around here, we know he's nothing but an entry DJ. People begin listening to EDM through someone big, whether it be Tiesto, Armin or Paul Van Dyk, they all hook people with commercial beats that are easy to bob your head to. From the entry DJ comes a whole slew of exploration. Different genres, different DJ's, different clubs and eventually the person who began with Tiesto realizes that there are MANY... MANY better DJ's out there.

I personally think a certain confidence comes with being the world's #1. With confidence comes laziness and it's that laziness that kills it for me. A few years back, before I was in the scene, Tiesto would dazzle the crowds by WORKING the audiance and really pushing the limit. He wanted to be #1 and it was his climb to fame that was really HIS time. I think he lost that spark when he became the #1 and started to drift.

I still have to say I'd take Tiesto over PVD though. Him being crowned #1 is a slap in the face to crowds around the world. I like to listen to a DJ who interacts and can SMILE and ENJOY the music he's playing, not someone who looks DEPRESSED behind the decks.

I loved your post up until you said you'd take Tiesto over PVD!

Maybe he's not the most enthusiastic man jumping around like an idiot...but it doesn't take anything more than sick beats to get me hyped, and PVD plays many sick, harder beats that Tiesto wouldn't even think about as he reaches for Ridgewalkers - Find.

Perso j'flicite le Circus pour l'excellent coup de cash, tout le monde aimerait s'remplir les poches comme ils le feront. Maintenant, faut rigoler de ceux qui paieront... y'a qu'eux qui n'ont rien compris hahaha
