I remember last time Sasha played at the Mezzanine here in SF...I was completely wasted, sweating like crazy, going nuts up against that was against the DJ booth.

He pulled out a cig and couldn't find his lighter...so I handed him mine.

That bastard lit his cigarette and put my zippo in his pocket and never gave it back, lol.

I don't care. I was drunk as hell, and just happened to have another lighter on me that night.

It was one of those free zippos those Marlboro people walking around with those computers so they can mail you shit give you let them sign you up. I only have about 20 more in a drawer at home.

Love Poundin' Sensation

This music is the air for life... as corny as it sounds, but it is.
Before I found EDM I was pretty "lost" Muscialy. I was a contry Girl who would listen to top 40, Pop, Alternitive.....There was always a void.

Then 4 years ago I was handed Cd's with various EDM artist and I have to admit some of them where pretty cheesy. But in the batch there was Tiesto, Ferry, Armin, Sasha and Digweed. It sparked my interest. So the downloading began.

Then in Nov of 2002 my friend and I went to Spundae to see Tiesto. We waited over 2 hours to get in. But once Tiesto got on the decks and smiled and threw down the first beat it was over. He took me on a new journy that I never expericed before. Even though Spundae was ramed with people I felt Tiesto was playing just for me. A short time after that set I went to see BT live at the Palace and it was then I found the beat I was looking for all my life. All of a sudden that void was gone. I found the nitch and was compleat musicaly. Now I was hooked!

My family and non EDM friends think I am nutso for being so passionate about this music and so passionate about "some Guy spinning records or CD's" ( words straight from my mothers mouth) I can sit there untill I am blue in the face explaining the concepts. or explaing to them why I see certin Dj's over and over again. But they will never understand and that is ok.

It dosn't matter who our # 1 is and what form of EDM we listen to we are all here and here for one reason only. The music. We all come together at Massive parties, forset, deserts, wearhoues, clubs and even someones house with a common bond.
The Music and the DJ's move us in away that it is hard to explain. Sometimes it moves us to put the needle down on a record, throw our own parties, work with a team to get people to events and even makeing new tracks.

I am so happy and lucky to be a part of this amazing beatiful scene with such wonderful people!
