I saw it last night. it was pretty decent. gave me a little more appreciation for what "teh suck" is like. really don't want to say much more, simply for spoiler reasons. but overall a decent movie.

How are the action sequences like? I found out ILM did the FX for this film.

yeah, they were pretty good. some stuff you could obviously tell was edited in a little later. but overall not too bad.

I still think that Industrial Light & Magic [ILM] did the best job ever with Twister. simply amazing.

Perhaps, But lets not forget the Star Wars Prequels, Paticularly ROTS, The FX on that movie topped all the previous Star Wars films combined, That film alone has some of the best FX work I ever seen.

i never seen American Beauty, but if it won a grammy, it must be good rite? I'm a big fan of the bald guy in the movie, the main character. He was in October Sky which is my all time average movie

For future reference the Grammy's are for music. The Oscar's are for movies.

just came back from seeing jarhead. really liked it. very offbeat war movie... or lack of a war movie. very interesting visuals at certain points (horse, oil fields burning, throwing up sand dream, etc)

VERY teh funnay.

when i peeked at this i thought it read "jihad: church can go boo itself"

Great movie, showed how war really was for a lot of us.

No gratuitous bullshit firefights and bombs dropping 24/7...

Most of war (now) is sitting around bullshitting, trying to keep yourself entertained.

well like they said in teh movie you have a lot of time on your hands to masturbate, read, play football, masturbate, read letters over and over again, masturbate with your left hand, then masturbate with your right... hahaha

doesn't Jarhead's spotter always look like he's on dope? watch Flightplan and its the same eyes.

anyways, i saw it. seems that war is ugly, even when nobody is pulling a trigger. good movie. watch it. dont adore it.

for the most part i was entertained, good humor. but i was really excepting heads blown off, necks cut open and baseball bats of nails going into people's heads.

then wait for that quentin taranteno movie. you're nuts, all pun intended

Posted by DjConfessions on Nov-08-2005 01:58:

really? when was the last time that a war movie didn't have excessive violence? i mean, jarhead was rated R for mild violence and excessive shots of nude men

But it's about the Persian Gulf War in the 1990s, right?

It's not like we don't know how that one ends
