Oakenfold - Global underground (NEW YORK) .shit on anything.

yeah that got me into trance, some of the best trance i have heard. it is completely different to the gatecrasher set though new york just builds and builds whereas the gatecrasher set starts of insane.

tranceport is another one that is wicked.

paul oakenfold is still my favourite dj of all time, i have so many of his cds it is not funny. also a ridiculous number of his live sets.

The actual musicianship behind most of the tunes that come out today are far more advanced than back in the oakey era of Gatecrasher late 90's. The revolutionary programs that have hit PC and Mac have put pro studio's in front of anyone who has the dollar. No.

How do you work it? Its in russian i think lol!

Posted by 00soups00 on Nov-08-2005 21:40:

here is the new link

[[ LINK REMOVED ]]

in order for it to work, let teh countdown clock count down to 0 (starts at 45). when the 'megaupload links' popup window appears, click on the X.

and once its finished counting down, it will change text to -

Klink hier om te downloaden

and then click on that and it will ask you to save as: etc..

btw - its German..

Posted by Aesthetic on Nov-08-2005 21:49:

is that page going to expire?

not before you've downloaded it sweetheart

Posted by Ghostface on Nov-08-2005 22:10:

It gets deleted when there hasn't been a download in the last thirty days. Unlimited bandwidth so send it round to anyone who might be interested.

Posted by Aesthetic on Nov-08-2005 23:31:

Thanks Soups, you're the wind beneath my wings.

Posted by Teflon_Teapot on Nov-09-2005 04:53:

I am in the process of buying old school trance from ebay. Which is probably not a good idea considering how much money I will spend but oh well.

Hey Soups I will keep a lookout for Jon Vesta - Gull & Mara - One (Hamel's Implant Remix) in my searching, and if I find them I will let you know.

Posted by name_withheld on Nov-09-2005 05:03:

Mara - One is available on djdownload.com. Considerably cheaper than vinyl

Posted by A.J. on Nov-09-2005 05:05:

This is the first time i have ever heard this set.

DAMN!

Some simply massive tunes in there.

Posted by queen_vee on Nov-09-2005 05:23:

Finally downloaded!!

It... is... sooooo good! Work has never been so enjoyable

thats because it's ASOT, theres heaps of new artist out there that are still underrated that blow all of the ASOT tunes out of the water.

for example check these songs out

Twilight - Eclipse
Store n Forward - Isn't It Strange
Ilya Malyeuv - Forever Alone

this is just a small list, but it just shows that trance is not near dead or utter shite, your just looking in the gutter (ASOT) for them.

Posted by sunrise3500 on Nov-09-2005 06:17:

thx for the set soupies!
host was slowwww though so i've converted it to AAC+ format, (64kbps, but sounds just as good as the mp3 ), it's only 36mb (rather than 108mb ) and fits on rapidshare hurrrrrrr
[[ LINK REMOVED ]]

you'll need a recent version of winamp 5 or like VLC to play it though since it's in AAC+ and not mp3

Posted by Simon00 on Nov-09-2005 07:08:

Dunno if time has been so kind to that set. There is some classics after Lizard though. And any set that ends with the Prophet has my vote.
