I've been using XP Pro for about 3/4 years at home now and it does everything i need it to and ive just grown used to it.

im using 2000 pro at work atm, cant really tell much difference between if this was 98 really :/ other than the fact the security would be easy to get around.

Try playing an oldish game on it.

I use XP at work and 2k at home and I still don't see why I should upgrade to XP. Win XP handles applications better, it's also better at memory allocation.

What do you mean by "better" exactly? I've used both (2k & XP) in a variety of hardware and I don't see how it does it "better". Mind you, there _is_ the rare software that doesn't work on 2k but works on XP.
