Defenitely Orbital, although I am a Chicane fan.

Chicane's Halcyon

I would have to go with orbitals mix

Orbital, in my top 5 of all time

Orbital's Halcyon easily, especially the original version which has a more breaksy feel. The live version with Bon Jovi and Belinda Carlisle samples is great too.

No there isn't. Liam Howlett has never remixed it. The 11min version labeled as Prodigy remix is actually just the mislabeled '92 original version of Halcyon.

i feel the songs are too different to compare and i love them both in their own right.

when i hear chicane's version i think of flying high above the clouds as the sun is setting, but thats probably because i bought the cd moments before i got on a plane to charlotte

orbitals version makes me think of mortal kombat so it sort of ruins the song for me but if i try to think out of the mortal kombat box, its an absolutely amazing tune

hahaha ... rofl

it's strange but true how we emotionally attach melodies/tunes to the event/time of our life when we first heard it. i guess it's like how certain romantic songs will always be linked to memories of the past lover you were thinking of when you first heard the song.

Man, the first rave I ever went to had Carl Cox, Leftfield and Orbital, and they played that bootleg version, it was immense!!

Yeah, this may be the only time I ever say this, but Orbital gets the better of Chicane this time.

Orbital! proof of how immortal this track is; it was made in 92 then used in mortal kombat in 95, then used again in the saint in 97 and then used again in Mean Girls 12 years after it was made. and it still sounds fresh today

Orbital...didn;t know that it was the reverse of "It's a Fine Day" though!

BTW, can anyone recommend a good (free) program for playing tracks in reverse?
