Haven't heard the M.A.N.D.Y. set yet, but I enjoyed the hell out of both the Tom Middleton and Sasha EMs.

Posted by Konijn on Nov-14-2005 14:07:

from that list King Unique, but Black Strobe was my fave overall.

middleton's em hands down, with soulwax's as a close second. Krafty Kuts was was also good, pendelum was boring as fuck, (yeah that's right), but it was the life at the party compared to sasha's bag of snore. putting the whole radio1 thing in strange but i must say that garnier and wally lopez did some rockin sets. deep dish & hardwick was plain as fuck, king unique was well good really, just didn't flow that well. angello & ingrosso was a big bag of let's whore ourselves. and for everyone that said m.a.n.d.y., i'd just like to say, get of the fucking bandwagon before you make yourself look silly you plebs, do you really want to be as desperate as erin??

you make a great point. Tom "the jedi" middleton gets my vote because it was something different, i liked that it was just more then 2 hours of music. I was really let down by sasha.

Posted by DigitalMP on Nov-14-2005 16:39:

I liked Paul Woolford's tracklisting, but I've yet to hear the mix.

And scratch that MANDY comment. I need to make sure I don't like a mix everyone else says they're feelin for fear of what someone else might think of me.

Hardwick

Blackstrobe was 2004. Great EM nonetheless.

Angello & Ingrosso

What I really don't understans is, I know that the EM sets have always been about new underground tunes, and keeping it simple yet tasteful, or at least thats the feeling I got, but why is it that whoevers spinning is afraid to include anything melodic and actually smoothe/free flowing into the whole package. Does it always have to be as minimal as possible in hopes of looking more elite and underground than the next, I wish some artists would just take the fuckin stuck out of their ass, and have a fun sounding EM. No EM really sounds "fun" .... To be honest I could put together a better sounding essential mix than most there hah.

Posted by CleverName on Nov-14-2005 20:42:

Middleton's set rocked my world but I had to vote for Sasha. If I didn't the police would have demanded my sasha whore card back and I couldn't let that happen, even though the mixing on middleton's set was the best I've heard all year.

Thumbs down

that list does indeed suck Sashas was decent, Angello & Ingrossos was just another commercial house party

Posted by iammesol on Nov-15-2005 01:34:

Steve Angello & Sebastian Ingrosso of the choices, in second was the Ibiza thing. I'm sure there were better EMs that I missed however.

Posted by Vapor on Nov-15-2005 01:43:

I liked Matt Hardwick's too. I just did it for me.
