Dick Clark is a vampire and will never die or age!

If nothing good comes up soone for NYE, it's gonna be another year of $80 for open bar and karaoke. Boo to that.

why do all of you want some big ass party for new year's? it's just turning the page of the calendar for me - and i'd rather just spend it with some close friends than in a hot, sweaty, overpacked club where i've paid way to much to see some dude spin a few records - it's not like i don't go to a club about 20-30 times a year.

i'd rather have the promoters save their budget instead of blowing it on one night of the year.

does Chicago change their hours on NYE? i know they're normally open until 5am on saturdays, but do they get to extend that on NYE?

it's the one night that Milwaukee is allowed to extend their hours, rather than closing at 2 or 2:30, a lot of places stay open either really late or all night and then serve breakfast in the morning.

***JUST ANNOUNCED - ON SALE THIS SATURDAY AT 10AM***
STELLAR SPARK III NEW YEARS EVE DANCE PARTY - Sunday December 31
9pm-5am 17+ to enter/21+ to drink
Headliners include: DJ Qbert, Kimball Collins and DJ Funk! 6 themed
rooms, dance music all night!

i'd be curious to check it out just because Stellar Spark Summer Edition was so kickass, but i wish they had better headliners...

While I agree that they should have some bigger healdiners, trust me when i say there will be some SICK talent playing that show. I know of a few more people playing that show, but I'm not sure if that's public information yet.

I may end up checking it out, but it's quite a drive.

Oh, and I think we should have a pool to guess when the promoter will show up trying to sell the rediculous pay2play bullshit they do there every year. I'm guessing before turkey day.

So basically, i see nothing going on in Chicago? What is this about? I am okay with the argument that it is just another 'turn of the page' or whatever, but still, its a night where everyone wants to celebrate. I need a party to go to. Its my girl's b-day for goodness sakes. Othewise, I prolly wouldn't care so much.

Looks like I'm staying in Detroit/Ann Arbor area now.

true - that is different - but most nye parties don't serve breakfast - if i was living in la i'd consider this party, but it would depend if my friends were going or not - i'd rather just hang with them

You guys got anyone better than Richard "Humpty" Vission?

It's funny to me that the two cities I thought would spend NYE in (Detroit or Chicago) dropped the ball soooooooooo bad on bringing in any talent...
