heh, interesting thread, made me think about askew on kiss fm, all over the place, but proper funny, the way it should be, who cares if a dj cant speak, its all about being spontaneous!!
askews radio station is well worth a listen, varied range of edm music, good stuff.

max

Armin Van Buuren's english is much better.

Shit lol where do I begin? I've been obsessed with Pete Tong's voice ever since the first time I heard it. Paul Oakenfold's EM from China in 1999.

Just hearing Pete say, "This time he's at the Rohjam, a club in the province of Shanghai...I bet you've never been there. Well he has...". Totally owns me!

Then it's Digweed, only for the fact that he absolutely butchers the track names. Cracks me up everytime!

I agree with the Desyn comment, he his fucking funnnyyy.

Posted by iammesol on Nov-17-2005 23:32:

Pete Tong, and of course Diggers

Just listened to that set.

no contest whatsoever...Pete Tong

Or how about "oil up those rollerblades and flex those pecks" from Oakies EM from Shadow Lounge in Miami '99.

pete tong beats anyone

Pete Tong ftw. Love that guy becasue of his EM biographies.

Pete Tong is the king. His Radio 1 show is by far the best dance radio show ever. Just go listen to his intro for Tiesto (Essential Mix in August). He is so inspiring and somes it all up so well. I have been doing radio for over 5 yeras now and he is the one I look up to. Some of these other guys are really good DJs... but thats why they became DJs and not radio personalities. Armin has got a lot better too (except I don't understand Dutch). Diggers is by far my favourite DJ, but his his voice is dull and monotonous

Pete tong is the best ,sometimes i listen to sets beginings just to hear his stupid crap

Jules is screaming at the mic but he's also solid.

Posted by Rebel Brown on Nov-18-2005 12:51:

Pete Tong by far.

Jules annoys me now, he tries to sound like Jeremy Clarkson by over emphasising the end of his sentences.

Posted by R!CH on Nov-18-2005 14:06:

eddie halliwell, above & beyond, john 00 fleming, and pete tong. something about those english, they love to talk and their accents are amusing

Posted by slinkyhead on Nov-18-2005 14:18:

pete Tong by far any away, Jules and Armin are very good too.

I also really like Graham Gold.

People that are shite in my opinion:

Fergie, Halliwell (can't understand either of them), Askew and OBir both just sound bored, Pavo from Above and Beyond because he's pronounciation is appauling, not that i coudl speak whatever his language is!

Posted by halexander837 on Nov-18-2005 14:24:

Pete Tongs okay... even though i haven't heard from him in a while.

On audio cassette, i have one of his "essential" broadcasts from around early 2002.

Posted by R!CH on Nov-18-2005 14:28:

how can you not understand halliwell???

Hi mate

No, I haven't written them down for posterity, but maybe I should have done!

Cheers for the email...
Jules

I'm glad you guys mentioned J00F, i didn't even know he had a radio show! shame on me...

it was very refreshing cause usually when i listen to goa-ish trance it's from older sets...

considering i've only heard one of his shows so far, i didn't find him that good of a radio show host (voice and enthusiasm), BUT i think the reason people like him (just like i found out) is because he's humble and doesn't sound fake, and just talks like he's one of your buddies...
