Had a good time all in all, even with the sardine-goodness.

| Originally posted by ChemEnhanced For the few moments I was in Guv I did hear Benny B. play some AC/DC....I was singing along and playing air guitar.....If only I had my mullet again.....it would have been grade 9 all over. |
got in around midnight left 3 hrs later... guvernment invasion of the midget ginos 2005...tried to make it to the gallery but things kept getting in my way... so i went home ...
good times...
Man, The Gallery rocked on Sat. got in there just abit after 12 and Addy was spinning, he already had me grooving before I even had a chance to check my jacket. Personally for me, The Gallery is a cross between CZ and old Systems. The sound was amazing, the beats were top notch and the crowd there was there for a purpose not just for the sake of being there. The reason why I say it's kinda like old Systems is that the room was pretty much black with a couple of red lights here and there. All the DJs slated for that room knew how to have a Grand Opening in style; Addy, Sydney Blu, Deko-ze and Nathan Barato. Here and there I ventured into the Guv to see what it was like but both times the place was way too packed and just couldn't take it so I made a long walk around and from what I heard Benny was playing alright but the buildups were way too long and just seemed to carry on. Basically I left The Gallery shortly after 6 and I was dead tired from all the dancing that I had did, definitely gonna have to check out this room again in the near future.
What is it Donkey?
did benassi play some new remix of 'meet her at the love parade'? i seem to remember hearing it...
Good reviews.
I've never seen him before but am going to the Church in Denver on Thursday night to see him spin.
I've only really heard "Satisfaction" by him so this should be an eye-opening experience.
I thought it was definately a decent night. Pretty much the same review as everyone else. The Gallery is AMAZING!!! great crowd, atmosphere, music, definately 110%.
Around 12:30 mark was rippin it with some classics, i didnt really want benassi to come on. Then he did and it was hard bangin house...so good, then he got into some variation and BOOM, SUCKED...he was all over the place...track selection all over the place...WAY too long turning around to pick a new record to play, all sounded the same, and build up was annoyingly long. I do agree his crowd interaction was great, only thing that made his set good for me, he really was having fun and did put a lot of effort in, but really i couldnt wait for Mark to come back on. While waiting for Marky, i checkout out the drink and amazing tunes inthere, so thats where i planted myself til i left at 4:15...
Good times, unfortunately didnt want to beat the crowds to the stage or front and centre to meet TA's, but by the sounds of the reviews u guys were elsewhere anyways.
Overall night was about 6.5/10 benny, 9/10 mark, 15/10 gallery, 12/10drink
See y'all for Sandra Collins....definatly front and centre(crowd permitting)
Wow! He performed so much better than he did last Spring. He played more of his own productions last time, but he totally raised the party meter this weekend. Throwing in Shook Me All Night Long ans Sweet Dreams remixes got the crown singing along so loud, it overshadowed the song!
MAN, that was a party!
oh yes...
Ginos were spotted.
