why would anyone compare John O'Bir with tiesto or armin, john obir is a great dj ,, but only compare a dj to tiesto depending on their music productions. tiesto's music production is what took him to the top. & i dont think john o'bir could ever be as great as tiesto on his production, but if its about dj'ying, alot of djs can be as good and make the ppl dance for hours.

um yeah. personally I'd take jon o bir's production work over Tiesto's anyday.
People dance to Tiesto bc he's tiesto... his name is a huge part of the selling feature you've bought into. I haven't heard a tiesto set come close to jon o'bir in years.

actually jon o bir's set have been filled with some pretty cutting edge tracks if you tune into his monthly sets on his website he has a lot of tracks no one else has released in sets yet. he knows his sound and is prepared to go out and find new material that matches his style and work with it before anyone else. Yeah he throws down a few tracks that are a bit better known but some of his new selections get picked by other djs as a result.

Eh. Jon O'Bir's DJ skills are good, but his tracklist is so similar to a lot of other DJs though. He doesn't have... his own style of sound.

Haven't heard any Nickson sets, but if his productions are any indication, they're uber fanny all the way. (which is good in small doses but too much of that makes me want to bash my head against a table)

Maybe you missed understood me. What I was trying was that the DJ's I had mentioned before have made very significant steps in producing/DJing and all you have to do is look at the bigger, well known experience DJ's playlists and you will see alot of tracks by these new upcomers. Simple misunderstanding maybe, but I'd love to know where I can hear these monthly sets, can you give a hint more of information? Thanks.

On a whole, I think there is a new generation coming through that have a great new, original sound. Some people think Trance is dieing since they dwell on the older DJ's and don't look into the new stuff coming out. Well, their loss.

great chilling song, but to me, it is lacking that climax. i'm sure if you give it to the tijsmaster, he'll remix it and create magik out of this song!! lol

but u know what i mean, it's a chilling song, with a lot of potential. at least in my mind.

I don't blame him for saying that. I had a blast even with people being stabbed in the middle of the dancefloor! (literly)
I still look back on that night as my best NYE to date.
