lol I don't remember why exactly, that's a long story. But I know last time he played only like 1 hours instead of 2 or 3 at the Aria...something like that. Then he left.

and what about the people who come from very far away to see him. I don't like that kind of attitude

I bring back my point on another thread...

F Tiesto.

If he came on TA himself and promised to play Zillion, I'd stand outside the club to listen to it and that's about as close as I'll get.

Just a quick question for MTLTA's who are TRUE clubheads!!

pls describe 'Circus'?? i wanna know everything about it!! like weekly nites, sound etc etc....

and IF you could compare it to a venue in T.O which one would it be??

thnx

Posted by antz66 on Sep-23-2005 04:53:

its a really nice place the crowd is abit mainstream but its the definately the place to be rite now in the montreal afterhour scene

Posted by Alex on Sep-23-2005 04:57:

I think I'll be more fair in this thread than the TOTA one I posted in.

It depends on what you guys look for in a club.

Circus is very new, there are nice floors and very trendy washrooms etc etc, so the club itself is very nice...

I Didn't think the sound was very good.

I found that it was majorly packed, and this was just a resident night therefore Tiesto would have the place so packed people would be stacked ontop of eachother.

AND (this of course makes no difference to me) but the club has a very large french population and I know they'll be out in full force for Tiesto, I'm not sure how good TOTAs french is so it might be a drag not being able to communicate with your fellow clubheads. (But hey, i'm sure you could figure something out).

I don't really understand why Circus booked Tiesto, I suppose it will bring a HUGE number of clients but I personally did not believe that was this club's type of music, so in my opinion this will be a pretty weird venue for a club like Circus and I really have my doubts.

I say don't just read my post, wait for others to reply and see who says what...

While I have sworn off of Circus, many people (and friends) will swear BY it, and say they have great parties and stuff there.

+1
If they would bring PVD, I'm 100% at Aria that night. PVD kills Tiesto and Armin I find, I'd take him over either of them any day. Even if he was an asshole last time, he's definately worth another chance.

read the review of circus and other afterhours written by Kendo on top of the montreal forum (check the stickies).

Posted by Alex on Sep-23-2005 05:12:

Oops I forgot to mention those haha.

Ya Kendo does a far FAR FAR FAR better job of describing the Afterhours places in Montreal than most people on TA could

Tiestor PENOR was definitely the worst night on the island for me, hands down. It didn't even compare to the other nights, with lesser-known DJs, less promotion, better clubs etc. Man, even Manumission with its cheesy Ibiza house was better!! I definitely think the commercial success he has been experiencing has gone to his head and it's really disturbing. When MC Mario starts playing your songs, I think you have a problem...

He should do a tour of all the Disney Worlds across the world for all I care. Let's see:

TIC, DisneyWorld, Orlando, FLA.!! 6 hrs un-interruped. Cheese not included.
TIC, DisneyLand, California. Same shit.
TIC, EuroDisney, Paris, France. French cheese included, sweet.

Isn't there a DisneyWorld in HongKong now? And there's AsiaDisney in Japan. So it could really BE Tiesto taking over the world!!!

barf.

I admit I definitely was a n00b. Tiesto @ Grand Prix weekend 2 years in a row, Tiesto @ Living, Tiesto @ CEPSUM, Tiesto @ Cream, Amnesia 2 years in a row, but I'm so sick of his crap at this point. And hearing an announcement of him playing at Circus just doesn't excite me anymore cuz I realize he's not like other DJs that actually care. He does it for the fame and fortune, cheese here, there, more profits, another #1 DJ ranking. Considering the events we have coming up in Montreal for the months of Sept and Oct, this event pales in comparison.

my 2 cents. I could care less Tiesto is coming to Montreal. Bring Armin and he'll show how a real party is supposed to happen!!

Its all on video!! lol, his cd skipped in the machine I think twice and it was that Motorola track he made, so he was pissed! It was amusing! I just remember vehemently defending PVD before that night, but afterwards I haven't really done much to listen to his shit now!

BTW, I won't be at Tiesto, it's not enjoyable for me to go to events like this anymore, it's too packed and hot, and I can play better tunes in my own home system if I want!

I was there in 2003 when he come to the Aria..... and I never thought he play a shortly set...

Alec, I never though we would be piss for that...

Thanks. I can't wait to finish my review from the 2004-2005 year. I've been to Circus over 20 times more than my last review, I have detailed information about the various rooms they have, who runs some of them, the services they offer and of course my perspective on the club as a whole - negative and positive.

This review is way more inclusive than the last one and won't include my previous reviews, written from scratch so people won't be bored .

you could see on his face from the beginning that he wasn
but that time when the cd skipped... he stopped the music .gave shit to the soundtech guy ...and restarted his set with something else.

GREAT ATTITUDE !!!

Godskitchen helping out Circus

Godskitchen - Las Vegas: Ice has some amazing nights

1. Tiesto

2. Circus

No way I'm there. Too cheesy, but perfect dj for the mainstream crowd that Circus pulls in.

Tahahahahahaha Tiesto

Posted by Dave Nadz on Sep-23-2005 22:34:

Humm PVD in Mtl ... im not for me . His to last gigs in MTl ( Aria & BeB) he wasn't showing us that he had fun , focus on his computer , no interract with the crowd .. and his flow set was a bit weird ... I remember at the Aria seeing him trhow his headphone bcz he was frustrated by some technical problems

As fot Tiesto, well im no verry please whit the kind of tunes he play when he's MTL. He play louder and harder (some tech-trance which is not verry my style) than he usually play when is djing in Europe .

Hope to see whos going to rock the Aria on nov 25th
