the mix is good, you follow a flow throughout the mix, i like that, u know what u're doing. the music is not exactly my style, i coudnt listen to the whole mix, had to skip through songs. the only song that did atract my attention is #3.

i think it needs more energy, its too....chill, i cant go crazy and put it loud. maybe u'll like my mix, check it out, its more trancey than this one, but it has more energy

i'll post the link in a moment, need to upload the mix first

i like the september mix more than november, by the style of music, but thats my personal preference, the nov mix was better than sept in that it follows though the entire mix smoothly, but sept has more style

anyways, judging by your 2 mixes so far, i think u'll apreciate my mix
check it out!!!

thanks Siatrovouni.. apreciated//

Carma3TDR2000: its starts off very chill you are right.. i like it like that, in a club these tunes sound a LOT different.. so really its your call, this isn't my fav. demo by any stretch, i havent really been liking a lot of the tunes from the last 3, 4 months.. december will be better

Its suprising bagels caught your attention, a lot thought that was pretty weak and overplayed and shouldnt have been in the mix..

Everyone seems to have a very different outlook on this mix, from somewhat established djs, people on TA, people on SR, and my freinds.. not one review is similar

Cheers!

You asked for it, so here goes:

1. Sounds slightly out of sync when it gets to the percussive chimes (maybe its just me, maybe its just the song?) 5:40 -- SMALL SMALL pitch mistake that lasts less than a second. Hardly noticeable since track 2 is drowning out the closing of track 1.

2. Some good @$$ shaking music going on here. Good track to get things rollin'.

3. 8:17 it starts creeping in with the highs. Very smooth transition 9:10. This melody really brings back some memories from dance/house music back in the 90's. 13:42 -- gets nice and banging here. Since my taste for EDM has changed o-so drastically over the years I can't call this a winner but definately a nice chill track to throw in at the start.

4. An earlier transition of the opening of this track could have been brought in at 15:58 instead of 16:16. I like my tracks to melt together. Bass could have been turned down a slight notch at 16:44 and saved for later on in the song for a buildup. Me likey this funky trippy electroeee sounding house.. if thats what you call it? -- Very pleasant vocals on this track, not excessively loud and ear screechingly annoying like AVB' Shivers; I'm a stickler for vocals.

5. 22:48 you brought down the bass on track 4. You hesitated whether or not to drop in track 5's bass immediately or a little after (in which you did) where it more or less abruptly came in at 23:12. Was not feeling this song at all, took an odd change of pace but I see why you used this track since it has those funky, trippy, electroee sounds as the previous song. This song would have worked a lot better with less piano as it makes it far too mellow drawing my focus away from the trippier sounds.

6. Good transition. Youh could have thrown it in a little earlier so that the buildup was on time with track 4 at 27:37. It worked perfect nonetheless at 28:07. 31:00 -- Did you use any effects here or is that just the song? I like I like. This has a perfect deep melody with that gritty feel to it and delicious vocals complimenting this track. Definately a winner

7. Another solid transition. Good sound effects and bassline on this song but I just wasn't liking the main melody. Ever watch The Price Is Right? Sounded like I was playing Plinko, or some kinda old skool videogame (Mario, anyone?) :P

8. 38:26 You should have transitioned the bass slightly louder and then brought it in even louder at your original transition at 38:57. Right off the bat, this song is a winner. Has exactly what I'm looking for: deep dark and dirty bassline with trippy sound effects and highs.

9. Perfect transitioning except for the bass. You should have tried leaving both bass' on rather than slowly lowering track 8 at 44:14 and then bringing in the bass on track 9 at 44:28. Glad you kept the flow steady from the last track. 46:44 -- This track is pounding! Some clipping at 48:45 that last a few seconds, or is that part of the song? 49:12 - 49:25 -- Could have used without this ear piercing sound effect. Back on track at 50:00, nice and loud. Despite a couple of excessive sound effects used that are part of the song (I don't really know how to describe them) this track is another winner :P

10. What can I say, this is just an all around soothingly mellow song to give you the feel that the set will be coming to a close soon. Not entirely my style but I felt this track fit great and gave me that end of the night mood.

11. Perfect transition. Steady flow again keeping me in a nice mellow mood. I have to bash the main vocals as they take away too much from the song; it would have been perfect if they had removed all the vocals and only kept in the echoing of "All I really".

Well I'll be damned, were done already?

Conclusion:

It looks like I'll be keeping this one on my hard drive. Definately solid mixing and beatmatching here, with no noticeable flaws by an average listener (I really had to pay attention to some of the details listed above). Some HUGE choons in this tracklist as well which is very pleasing to see and hear considering I have a hard time finding ANY set that has more than 1 good track in it

Any TRUE house fans will love off this set. Don't let this one slide.

Cheers!

Wow, after the above review I feel like this will be hopelessly insignificant...but i'm at work sooo....

I loved the mix. This is one of the few mixes that keeps this style of progressive electro house music the whole mix and keeps my attention as well. Usually I love this stuff, but don't really like an entire CD of it. This time, not the case.

I really liked the beginning, tracks 1-3 were great. I agree that bagels was a good choice, to add one more vote to that party. Tracks 4 and 5 I could have honestly done without...track 4's vocals annoyed me a bit. Track 6 is where it starts to get really good, all the way to the second to last track. The second to last track is great because it winds down the set a bit. I didn't care too much for the last track (again kinda annoying vocals), but it wasn't bad.

As for the mixing, it was very good. All the tracks flowed together very well and beat matching, etc, was spot-on.

Overall, this is definitely a keeper and I'm burnin' it. Good werk.

Oh man! I love the piano! The bassline is fucking sexy tho..

Woolford is touch and go for some people.. Not everyone digs the sounds..

Yes, this track is fucking awesome.

The clipping is actually the song, it goes into some "Machine clikkity beep tick.donk BOOM. goodness."

I have some what on an emotional attachment to this song, the vocals, and some of the remixes.. I wonder if there is a dub..

Dah! I love the vocals! All you people need to hear the "Grownling Machines" Remix when you are at a party... then you'd understand! haha!
