It's when the set becomes boring and cheesy

* wishing i wouln'd of missed the night*

Posted by nchs09 on Nov-23-2005 14:22:

the first song is sick. quality is EXELLENT! but i know malek likes the crowd noise in the sets cuase he says it shows the crowds reaction and what not.

y not make a set tht is both crowd reaction and straight from the mixer or sound board?
its not htt hard but you need 2 recording devices. just giving an idea as i remember malek saying that

Posted by sEpH on Nov-23-2005 15:09:

Ce set est maladementalement bon. merci.

hehehe you still remember that

a set straight from the mixer does nothing for me

It's already dificult a set, let alone with two different sources...

on a side not, i don't think we'll get a set recorded with the crowd anytime soon, i sold my iriver and i can't find the mic since i moved now

Posted by Zeiter on Nov-23-2005 17:17:

Well, having heard lots of set from recording device only and with crowds, i think the best is the recording device only because even if you do not have the crowds reaction, u can never have as good quality on bass and middles ands highs and in the long run, u wanna hear good music, not same cheap recorded set where all u hear is teh crowd with music in the backgroud....

thanks for the obvious.

i still stand for MY OPINION.

That is indeed what it is.

Posted by magikb on Nov-23-2005 19:26:

I have listened to it twice through already.. damn I can't get enough of it

Thanks again guys! w00t

Posted by nchs09 on Nov-23-2005 19:37:

something that works and gives a little feel for the crowd reaction is to have the mic plugged in but with little volume pointed towards the crowd.... i suggest trying it, it worked for a set we recorded here in atlanta

Posted by e_trance on Nov-23-2005 20:06:

great recording and great set!! what a great night it was !!
tracklist anyone ?????

Posted by alec on Nov-23-2005 20:11:

I've probably listened to this set 10 times, no joke! But seriously, if someone has a mic, we can try it next time, my jukebox has two inputs on it for line in, I haven't tried two at the same time yet though.

i recomend testing it first.. maybe with a local night.. cause i mean if the echo's are really bad ur whole recording of a good night will be fucked.
