I don't get how people on the radio are saying CF. That's ridiuclous. 3B and 1B should be the only position he plays. His injuries are ALWAYS leg injuries.
I know it's unholy to suggest, but if the Yankees get Nomar, this should be the infield:
1B: Giambi
2B: Cano
3B: Nomar
SS: Rodriguez.
Yes... Jeter should be on the move to CF. Especially now while he's still able to move decently.

Babe Ruth played for Boston in 1918
the funny
Great offensive leadoff hitter
Jesus Caveman
Jeter
A Fraud
Sheff
Matsui
Juiceambi
Cano
Sick lineup!! Moves jeter to natural 2 spot. Jesus will score a TON of runs. Weakest arm in baseball will hurt but he's got the skills to run down the ball out in spacious OF. And Bernie always had a very weak arm and they won. Plus, it kills the Sux offensive machine in my opinion.
I like it even though at first I didn't. NO MORE HAIR!!! That's the best news.
Yanks also get Octavio Dotel and Ron Villone for their bullpen
It'll be interesting to see how well Dotel does coming back from injury and Tommy John surgery
If he's healthy and performing well, Yanks will have quite a pen, with 2 former closers setting up for Rivera, as well as Myers and Villone to face lefties.
Come on, the Yankees bullpen is jinxed - I dont think there is anything that could help them.
Yankees gonna have the best lineup in baseball !!!!

Ehhhh... I actually think this is a dumb signing by the Yankees. They scored a bajillion runs last year. Scoring runs isn't the problem. It's giving them up that hurts them. They won 95 games last year.
They should have went with a defensive OF. Anyone who can play the position above averagely would have been a much better fit. Then, I know they have a lot of money in that rotation already, but they should've checked to see what Millwood wanted.
I'm not saying Damon will hurt the Yankees, I just think there were better things they could've spent that money on. I used to be in the "Cashman is a great GM, but is limited to what he can do be Steinbrenner" camp. I definitely think differently now...
However... I really, really, really wanted Dotel. Dotel and D'Angelo Jimenez. But Dotel is a Yankee and Jimenez is a Ranger.

I miss the 90's. When the Yankees werent concerned about all these huge players, they just got people that will play their heart out.

I think with the money and brown and bernie and a few other why not damon they havent had a legit leadoff hitter since knoblaubch for maybe one where he actually had a decent obs, maybe rivers. Hes surely better than Bubba a 29 yr old fringe player. Dotel was a good signing to sure up the pen . In my estimation they still have about 15 million less payroll than last year now sign roger for 12 damn it

i honestly think its a dumb move
steinbrenner every year goes out and gets the biggest player to bring more hype up and more fans to the games
damon is not the player he used to be his arm is not that much better than bernies, he is fast and an ok hitter i will give him that but if i were the yankees i would keep bubba and signed back bernie for one more year and let them switch it up
then next year get rid of bernie and sign tori hunter who will be a free agent
in my opinion the yanks should invest more money is their scouting and try to produce more players like cano and the chinese pitcher wong
instead of buying these washed up players

Mets ship Anna Benson and her hubby Kris to the Orioles for relievers Jorge Julio and prospect John Maine.
Julio has compared with Armando Benitez, but let's hope that doesn't come into fruition while he's in a Mets uniform.
Theo comes back home to the Red Sox, and they get Coco Crisp for recent acquisitions Andy Marte and Guillermo Mota, who I'm guessing will fill the void left by Johnny Damon.
