So back to the original question...how is it that you don't like "electro shit" when you don't know what Electro is? Unless I am mistaken and you do know what Electro is. Do you know what Electro is?

OMFG I lOvvveeeeee Legowelt!!!!!!! Ital-disco rules lol!!!But it's all about what do you mean by "electro" there is good and bad one as well... Vector Lovers for example make great Electro-y music and you can consider the new border community release-"gazebo" by fairmont as having electro and deep techno elements rather than todays absolutely trashy big-room standard progressive parts. Try to listen to the new ep by Artificial Arm-another great electro release i reckon. Also try Radioactive Man's albums (Rotter's Golf club are generally good.)
Let's not forget about electro clash as well.

^^^Yeah, knowing what something is makes me an elitist, while being an ignorant doonce makes you the saint of tranceaddict.com. I think i'm the least of your worries. Maybe you should concentrate on the guy who just called you an idiot. I believe his name is Nrg2Nfinit, the...Italo Disco addict. He's a bigger douche than me, at least I didn't insult your intelligence. Next...

Electro...not because of the bassline or the lead synth though. Electro Not Electro...electroclash..maybe. Not Electro...that's the theme song from Final Fantasy I. That's all some kind of regular house ("prog", "disco", "funky", "french", whatever) with a buzzing synth. Aka, not electro-anything. Except for the Pryda track...only because of the vocoder and beeps and zaps. Heh. Maybe it's electro-house. But the rest...no....I don't think so... Like what. I wouldn't say a lot. I would say very little to none. For a while it did. But people make it now, though it's not called italo disco anymore. If you go by what some people call Nu-Italo(disco), then it's made by groups like...Prezioso...which is basically eurodance with vocoders. BUT, the real "nu" italo disco being made these days is called Space Synth. Check it out at www.spacesynth.de . It's the modern day Laserdance/Koto/etc. |

I think I just died a little...
I must say, that in addition to being one of the five Istari, Aiwendil knows his music.
I don't know my music. I just really like Electro. Or I really did recently, until I got bored. Now I will probably look up disco and/or funk. Someone give me more trax like Roy Ayers - Running Away. Don't make me look for it myself, i'm on tranceaddict, where that never happens. Oh wait, i'm on tranceaddict.
I realize I haven't actually proven that I know what Electro is, but then, why don't you prove that you know what Trance is? What do you want me to do...tell you where Electro came from?...how it got its name?...name an electro track from each year spanning 1980-present?...let's go.
I don't know it all about Electro either. Just recently Ishkur himself showed me (and everyone else) that electro-house does exist. I had not thought it existed before. But he named artists, only one of which I was familiar with. I looked em up, and yeah, I see how they would be electro-house. I'm learning all zee time. Though I don't see that i'll be discovering much about electro-house soon, as it's not nearly as FUNky as the real thing. It's there. I know roughly what it sounds like. That's all I need to know.
I guess one of the major problems is that so few people know what Electro is here. There's me, possibly Alphastarred, Beats and Beeps, Ishkur, possibly NRG2INFINIT(orwhatever).....that guy earlier who posted about Radioactive Man...
Eeeeh...by the way, if you think i'm an Electro elitist, you should see the fellows over at Discogs. "OZGM ELECTRO CAN ONLY BE BREAKBEAT AND ANYTHING WITH 4/4 IS TECHNO WTF I WAS ALIVE WHEN IT HAPPENED! IN '82 AND '83 I SLAMMED THAT CHEWN IN ALL THE NYC UNDERGROUND CLUBBZ RIGHT BESIDE BAMBAATAA AND GRANDMASTER FLASH. BY 1984 I WAS USING PLANET ROCK VINYL AS A COASTER FOR MY ARTHRITIS MEDICATION-INFUSED GINKOBALOBA GREEN TEA CUPS! SHORTLY AFTER IN '85 I STARTED USING IT AS A FRISBEE FOR MY DOG CLIFFORD! SO I'M RIGHT AND YOU'RE WRONG! KRAFTWERK IS SYNTHPOP! WOO!"
Old bastards.

Yes indeed, Electro is my favorite genre, and i'm listening to an Electro Funk classic from 1981 at the moment. Like I said, how can you hate Electro, or say what you just said about me when you have no idea what Electro is? Give me a break "deiberio". I can name Electro classics from 1977-present. I can tell you where Electro came from and where Electro has been through that time, and where it is now. Which is more than you can say for yourself. Hurl useless insults at people? Good job dumbass. |
